XXIX GIOCHI NAZIONALI ESTIVI SPECIAL OLYMPICS ITALIA – CAGLIARI e VILLASIMIUS- 18-23 MAGGIOXXIX NATIONAL SUMMER GAMES SPECIAL OLYMPICS ITALY – CAGLIARI and VILLASIMIUS – MAY 18 TO 23

Dal 18 al 23 maggio 2013, Cagliari e Villasimius, saranno sede dei XXIX Giochi Nazionali Estivi Special Olympics Italia.

Questo Grande Evento Sportivo, mostrerà alla società e a tutte le istituzioni della Regione Sardegna come lo sport può essere un eccezionale mezzo per l’Inclusione Sociale e come Special Olympics, programma internazionale di allenamenti e competizioni sportive per atleti con disabilità intellettiva, può concretamente aiutare gli Atleti a essere protagonisti nella società moderna e nelle loro famiglie.

I numeri parlano da soli: 600 Atleti, 60 Tecnici e Dirigenti, 300 Volontari, 300 Accompagnatori e Familiari provenienti da tutta Italia, 40 Giudici e Arbitri, e le tante persone che decideranno di assistere alle gare saranno protagonisti di questa settimana Speciale trascorsa nel bellissimo villaggio resort di Villasimius, il Tanka Village.

Durante la settimana, gli Atleti avranno modo di confrontarsi nelle discipline del Calcio, Pallacanestro, Tennis e Golf, provare nuovi sport e divertirsi nelle tante attività del Villaggio Olimpico organizzate dalle diverse realtà militari come i Carabinieri, l’Esercito e la Polizia oppure rilassarsi in piscina e vivere appieno la bellezza della spiaggia di Simius. Al fianco degli atleti i tanti volontari, figure essenziali e imprescindibili dell’evento.

Con il loro aiuto contribuiranno alla migliore riuscita dell’evento e, stando a stretto contatto con l’atleta, avranno il compito di supportarlo ed incoraggiarlo nell’arco della giornata, condividerne l’entusiasmo e il divertimento, parole chiave degli eventi Special Olympics.

Il giorno 19 maggio 2013 alle ore 20.30 Cagliari ospiterà l’evento principale dei Giochi: la Cerimonia d’Apertura. Il porto di Cagliari, infatti, farà da cornice all’accensione del bellissimo tripode e al Giuramento dell’ Atleta Special Olympics: “Che io possa vincere, ma se non riuscissi che io possa tentare con tutte le mie forze”.

From 18 to 23 May 2013, Cagliari and Villasimius, will be the seat of the XXIX National Summer Games Special Olympics Italy.

This major sporting event, show to society and all the institutions of the Region of Sardinia as the sport can be a remedy for Social Inclusion and as Special Olympics, the international program of sports training and competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities, it can actually help athletes to be leaders in modern society and in their families.

The numbers speak for themselves: 600 Athletes, 60 technicians and managers, 300 volunteers, 300 Companions and Family from all over Italy, 40 Judges and Referees, and the many people who decide to attend the races will be featured in this special week spent in the beautiful resort village of Villasimius Tanka village.

During the week, the athletes will have the opportunity to compete in the disciplines of Football, Basketball, Tennis and Golf, try new sports and have fun in the many activities of the Olympic Village organized by the different military realities such as the Police, the Army and the Police or relax in swimming pool and fully enjoy the beauty of the beach of Simius. Alongside the many volunteers of the athletes, the figures necessary and essential event.

The next day May 19, 2013 at 20:30 Cagliari host the main event of the Games: the Opening Ceremony. The port of Cagliari, in fact, will be the setting switch on the beautiful tripod and the Oath of ‘Special Olympics Athlete: “I can win, but if I fail I can groped with all my strength.”
