Le 33 città del Trekking Urbano 2014 svelano i programmi e anticipano quali saranno le iniziative e i percorsi organizzati in occasione dell’XI Giornata Nazionale del prossimo 31 ottobre, dedicata al tema “Ricordare e ripercorrere la nostra storia a 100 anni dalla Grande Guerra”.
Sono davvero tanti e diversi i “trekking” che i comuni che aderiscono alla rete nazionale offriranno agli amanti del turismo lento. E, in alcuni casi, le iniziative si protrarranno anche il 1 e 2 novembre.
Il programma delle visite a piedi prevede percorsi con diversi livelli di difficoltĂ , accessibili a tutte le etĂ , e offrono un modo sportivo e piacevole di visitare i centri storici di alcune delle piĂą belle cittĂ italiane, alla scoperta di angoli sconosciuti e panorami mozzafiato.
L’idea è nata nel 2002 dal Comune di Siena e sin dalle prime edizioni è stata sposata da altre città . Il Trekking Urbano infatti ha conquistato un numero sempre crescente di amanti di una moderata attività sportiva all’insegna della curiosità , grazie a percorsi che coniugano la salubrità di attività all’aria aperta, con la scoperta dell’arte e della bellezza dei centri storici.
E quest’anno proprio per condividere le esperienze di chi ha già preso parte a questa manifestazione è nato Il “blogdeltrekkingurbano” che è collegato al sito internet ufficiale www.trekkingurbano.info e ai social già attivi.
Le cittĂ che partecipano al Trekking Urbano 2014
Siena, comune capofila, propone tre giorni intensi per rivivere la prima metĂ del ‘900 in cittĂ . Tra le novitĂ le visite per i bambini con il coinvolgimento diretto di anziani che testimonieranno la loro esperienza della II Guerra Mondiale e poi un trekking guidato dai fotografi con uno speciale percorso alla scoperta delle inquadrature piĂą inedite della cittĂ .

Ad Ancona città attaccata già il 24 maggio 1915, primo giorno di guerra per il Regno d’Italia, il trekking proporrà un toccante percorso dal Monumento ai caduti, alla Mole dove sarà rievocata l’incursione austriaca dell’aprile 1918.

A Biella le curiosità della città dei primi del Novecento con i suoi personaggi e le sue storie saranno il clou di Ti racconto la Biella di cento anni fa… due giorni di percorsi a piedi con la possibilità (dalle ore 17) di visitare il Museo Biellese degli Alpini con la sezione dedicata alla Grande Guerra.

Piccole grandi storie che hanno cambiato la città e la vita dei suoi abitanti: questo si propone di scoprire il trekking che Bologna dedica alla Grande Guerra: percorsi nei luoghi che vennero consacrati alla celebrazione e alla memoria collettiva che conservano le tracce di migliaia di vicende private.
Lungo il sentiero naturalistico e archeologico della Sella del Diavolo, a Cagliari si passeggia attraverso la natura e la storia sia militare che religiosa proiettandosi fino al futuro.
Catania si immerge nel sogno della Belle Epoque, un sogno interrotto dalla Grande Guerra. Il trekking porterà così a riscoprire la storia poco conosciuta di quando Catania diventò una città “moderna”.

Cividale del Friuli commemora i tragici eventi del conflitto, attraverso un percorso emozionale nei luoghi che furono scenario di importanti avvenimenti. Un invito a ripercorrere l’eco passato ancora vivo nella città del presente.
Un inconsueto itinerario fra canali, ponti e vicoli per ricomporre il mosaico delle tredici isolette su cui Comacchio è stata fondata, ripercorrendo le vicende, storiche e leggendarie, dei monumenti più importanti della “piccola Venezia delle Valli”.
Comiso propone un itinerario tra strade monumenti e viuzze, per rivivere ricordi ed emozioni legate alla guerra. Un viaggio nella storia e in una cittĂ che stata teatro di una delle piĂą famose azioni militari: l’operazione HUSKY” del luglio ’43.
A Cosenza il trekking diventa un modo originale di ripercorrere la storia attraverso i quartieri dell’espansione post bellica. L’itinerario si snoda in alcune aree di sviluppo del primo dopo guerra, con riferimento anche alla loro storia più antica.
A Forlì il trekking porterà alla riscoperta del centro storico cittadino attraverso gli eventi che hanno segnato la città negli anni della Grande Guerra, lasciando tracce indelebili. Un percorso innovativo dedicato a storie e vite, spesso rimaste senza volto.
Giulianova propone un itinerario che si snoderà tra la parte alta, il centro storico e il Lido fra i monumenti che testimoniano il passaggio dall’euforia politica, culturale e produttiva dei primi anni dell’Unità d’Italia alla crisi della Prima Guerra Mondiale.

Macerata dedica alla Grande Guerra un percorso articolato su due livelli diversi: dai luoghi della memoria, all’esposizione di cimeli, documenti, collezioni storiche comunali che fanno riflettere sull’enorme impatto che il conflitto ebbe sull’organizzazione sociale.

Con lo smantellamento degli apparati difensivi e l’annessione al Regno d’Italia, Mantova perde il suo ruolo strategico-militare e viene relegata a deposito di materiali e munizioni. Ecco allora che il trekking ripercorrerà l’evoluzione delle trasformazioni urbanistiche che caratterizzarono la città e si concluderà presso l’Archivio di Stato e la Biblioteca Comunale Teresiana per ricordare i cittadini mantovani che hanno combattuto e che sono morti in battaglia
A Napoli il trekking urbano diventa occasione per immergersi nel liberty. Protagonista l’architettura napoletana dei primi decenni del Novecento con le strade sinuose e panoramiche all’interno dei quartieri Vomero e Chiaia.

La città di Narni, propone un itinerario sulla tracce della Prima Guerra mondiale, all’interno e a ridosso del centro storico, luoghi che non fanno parte del tradizionale circuito turistico, ma non per questo sono meno suggestivi e tutti da scoprire.

Attraverso il racconto e le storie di alcune personalità oranesi il trekking 2014 ad Orani avrà come filo conduttore la vita in miniera negli ultimi 100 anni dalla Grande Guerra. (venerdì 31 ottobre e sabato 1 novembre)
Tra il 1914 e il 1918 Padova fu protagonista di fatti e di avvenimenti importanti. Sono molti i luoghi che conservano un patrimonio anche umano dove il messaggio diventa simbolo e significato. Il trekking si muoverĂ attraverso piazza Mazzini, via Dante, piazza Duomo, piazza dei Signori, piazza delle Erbe per concludere un percorso “intriso” di memorie storiche in via VIII febbraio.
Piazze, strade, edifici storici, chiese, poste, biblioteche e caserme, epigrafi, lapidi, monumenti funebri e sarcofagi: ecco quel che rimane della I Guerra Mondiale. Palermo offrirĂ un trekking, che al turismo e alla cultura unirĂ l’aspetto commemorativo alla scoperta di epigrafi, monumenti in onore degli eroi e delle eroine della Grande Guerra.
Nella Prima Guerra Mondiale, Palmanova fu un centro di smistamento e rifornimento di materiali per le truppe sull’Isonzo e, dopo Caporetto, fu incendiata dai soldati italiani in ritirata. L’itinerario porta alla scoperta di quella che fu la retrovia della Grande Guerra

Pavia dedica alla Grande Guerra un percorso cittadino che partendo dal Museo del Risorgimento si snoderĂ attraverso luoghi e palazzi storici che ancora raccontano di quei giorni. Il trekking terminerĂ in piazza del Carmine dove i partecipanti potranno ascoltare cori e musiche di quel periodo storico.
A Perugia il trekking andrĂ alla ricerca di memorie di guerra e pietra. Un itinerario che si snoda in due tempi, al mattino e dopo il tramonto: per vie ritorte, scalinate scoscese e gibbose farĂ scoprire scorci dove si materializzeranno i volti, le voci, le emozioni di quei giovani di ogni ceto, che partirono per quella guerra e non fecero mai ritorno alle loro case.
Piacenza propone un itinerario attraverso i luoghi che ricordano i caduti. Il percorso si snoda per buona parte nel centro storico e prosegue verso il fiume Po e all’ingresso nord della città dove campeggia il grande monumento al Pontiere d’Italia
Settanta treni transitavano ogni giorno, attraverso la Ferrovia Porrettana, per trasportare i soldati impegnati al fronte, tra questi anche “I ragazzi del ’99”. Pistoia propone un trekking alla scoperta dell’architettura razionalista che trasformò la città nel periodo intercorso tra le due guerre.

Ragusa propone la scoperta della Cava Santa Domenica, un vero e proprio “fiume verde” che si ramifica all’interno della città e che passando sotto i tre ponti cittadini diventa collegamento diretto tra Ragusa e il quartiere barocco di Ibla.
Rieti propone un percorso nel cuore della cittĂ che si snoda tra monumenti, palazzi ed edifici storici legati alle vicende dei due conflitti. Un modo per ricordare attraverso architetture ed epigrafi personaggi ed eroi.
Suggestiva passeggiata della memoria a Salerno che ripercorrerà i luoghi legati ai soldati salernitani coinvolti nella Grande Guerra ricreando, con musica e drammatizzazioni, le suggestioni ed il clima dell’epoca.
Da Colle Attivoli al Cimitero Monumentale il trekking a Spoleto proporrĂ un percorso guidato tra incantevoli scorci e documenti storici di assoluto valore.
Terracina propone un viaggio a ritroso nel tempo che dal Monumento ai Caduti della I Guerra Mondiale attraversa la città fino a giungere ai piedi del Monte Leano, presso il santuario della dea Feronia, nello scenario dell’Agro Pontino.
Trento ricorda alcuni protagonisti della conflitto mondiale quali Cesare Battisti, Fabio Filzi e Damiano Chiesa. Dal Castello del Buonconsiglio, si arriverà fino al pittoresco borgo di Piedicastello, dove si potrà visitare l’importante mostra dedicata alla Grande Guerra.
Treviso offre i luoghi che furono protagonisti di avvenimenti vissuti con coraggio e dignità , in attesa della fine del conflitto, per vivere la pace e finalmente ricostruire.
Urbino, con passeggiate e spostamenti in bus, unisce piĂą destinazioni per un itinerario speciale che vuole celebrare e commemorare i caduti della Grande Guerra.
E’ dedicato a uno dei protagonisti assoluti della Grande Guerra il trekking di Verbania. Qui infatti il 4 settembre 1850 a Pallanza (oggi quartiere di Verbania) nasceva Luigi Cadorna. L’itinerario si muoverà alla scoperta dei luoghi più intimi e privati della vita del Generale.
The 33 cities of the Urban Trekking in 2014 reveal the programs and anticipate what will be the initiatives and courses organized on the occasion of the eleventh National Day of October 31, on the theme “Remembering and retrace our history 100 years after the Great War.”
Are many and diverse the “trekking” that municipalities that adhere to the national grid will offer to lovers of slow tourism. And, in some cases, efforts will continue even on 1 and 2 November.
The program includes guided walking routes with different difficulty levels, accessible to all ages, and offer a sporty and enjoyable way to visit the historical towns of some of the most beautiful Italian cities, discovering unknown corners and breathtaking views.
The idea was conceived in 2002 by the city of Siena and from the early editions was married from other cities. The Urban Trekking in fact won an increasing number of lovers of moderate sports activity in the name of curiosity, thanks to tracks that combine the wholesomeness of outdoor activities, with the discovery of art and beauty of the historic centers.
And this year just to share the experiences of those who have already taken part in this event was born the “blogdeltrekkingurbano” that is attached to the official website and social www.trekkingurbano.info already active.
The cities participating in the Urban Trekking 2014
Siena, joint leader, offers three intense days to relive the first half of the ‘900 in the city. An unusual route of canals, bridges and alleys to reconstruct a mosaic of thirteen islands on which Comacchio was founded, retracing the events, historical and legendary, the most important monuments of the “Little Venice of the Valleys.”
Comiso proposes a route between monuments, streets and alleys, to relive memories and emotions related to the war. A journey through history and in a city that was the scene of one of the most famous military action: The operation HUSKY “in July ’43.
A Cosenza trekking becomes an original way to trace the history of post-war expansion through the neighborhoods. The route winds in some areas of the development of the first post-war, with reference also to their ancient history.

Piacenza offers a journey through the places that remember the fallen. The path winds through much of the city center and on to the River Po and the northern entrance of the city where stands the monument to the great Pontiere of Italy
Seventy trains passing every day, through the Railway Porrettana to transport soldiers committed to the front, among them “The boys of ’99.” Pistoia proposes a trek to the discovery of rationalist who transformed the city in the period between the two wars.

Ragusa proposes the discovery of Cava Santa Domenica, a true “green river” that branches within the city and passing under the three bridges citizens become direct connection between Ragusa and the Baroque district of Ibla.
Rieti offers a course in the heart of the city which runs between monuments, palaces and historic buildings tied to the events of the two conflicts. One way to remember, through architecture and inscriptions characters and heroes.
Charming walk in memory of Salerno that will retrace the places linked to the soldiers involved in the Great War salernitani recreating with music and drama, the suggestions and the climate of the time.
From Colle Attivoli at the Monumental Cemetery trekking in Spoleto propose a guided tour of beautiful views and historical documents of great value.
Terracina offers a trip back in time to the War Memorial of World War I through the town until you reach the foot of Monte Leano, at the shrine of the goddess Feronia, in the scenario of the Pontine Marshes.
Trent recalls some of the protagonists of the Second World War such as Cesare Battisti, Napo Torriani and Damian Church. From Castle Buonconsiglio, you will reach the picturesque village of Piedicastello, where you can visit the important exhibition dedicated to the Great War.
Treviso offers the places that were the protagonists of the events lived with courage and dignity, waiting for the end of the conflict, to experience the peace and eventually rebuild.
Urbino, with walks and journeys by bus, combines multiple destinations for a special itinerary that wants to celebrate and commemorate the fallen of the Great War.
And ‘dedicated to one of the protagonists of the Great War trekking Verbania. Here, in fact September 4, 1850 in Pallanza (today district of Verbania) was born Luigi Cadorna. The tour will move to the discovery of the most intimate and private life of General.
