WALKING WITH CANONICO SPANO- CAGLIARI -SUNDAY NOVEMBER 18 and 25

Given the success of the summer and autumn months, the Cultural Association Itzokor decided to revive the “Walking with Canon Spano” for the end of November, not at the usual time, but in the morning, as dictated by the season and the days now too short. Purpose of the visit will be the Cagliari century seen through the eyes of Canon Spano, author of a guide on the four historic districts of the city, full of anecdotes and valuable evidence on aspects have been lost.

The Canon Giovanni Spano can be considered one of the fathers of Sardinian. During the nineteenth century, in fact, visited the length and breadth of Sardinia, noting any ancient monument he met. He was the author of numerous excavations which published its findings in the journal he founded “Archaeological Bulletin Sardo”. Donated to the Archaeological Museum in its collections of artifacts, still an integral part of the tour.

The course, which lasts about two hours, start from the Lions Gate and will end at the University Palace.
