Sul versante riparato dal vento della punta a Sud della penisola del Sinis si stabilirono prima i Nuragici, poi i Fenici ed i Romani e tutti hanno lasciato le loro tracce.

Le bellezze di questa penisola, che si adagia sul mare oggi hanno mosso tutt’altri interessi!

Infatti è dell’anno scorso il film Una piccola impresa meridionale diretto da Rocco Papaleo. La storia è ambientata in un ipotetico paese del sud Italia, al confine fra Basilicata e Puglia, ma in realtà il film è stato girato interamente in Sardegna, in provincia di Oristano. Il faro in cui si ritrova a vivere don Costantino è quello di capo San Marco, a San Giovanni di Sinis, mentre la spiaggia che fa da sfondo alla capanna dove vivono Valbona e Rosa Maria è quella di S’Archittu. Le scene ambientate in paese sono girate a Cabras.

Durante la nostra escursione visiteremo le rovine Tharros, la fortificazione e la torre di S. Giovanni, arriveremo sino al faro attraverso un bel percorso immersi nella natura, per terminare il pomeriggio con la visita al Parco dei Suoni ed al Museo Civico di Cabras ( in forse per i lavori di accoglienza dei Giganti di Monte Prama)

On the side sheltered from the wind to the south of the tip of the Sinai Peninsula settled before the Nuragici , then the Phoenicians and the Romans, and all have left their traces .

The story is set in an imaginary town in southern Italy , on the border between Basilicata and Puglia , but in fact the film was shot entirely on location in Sardinia , in the province of Oristano.
