Arriva fine luglio. L’estate entra nel vivo e, come accade da tre anni a questa parte, ecco prendere forma il Versatile music weekend. Alghero per qualche giorno diventa la patria delle forme artistiche, in particolare musicali, più all’avanguardia. Questo grazie ad un progetto ideato e creato dall’associazione Primigenia, oramai una realtà in tale ambito già da quasi una quindicina d’anni. Dal 24 al 28 luglio la Riviera del Corallo vedrà ospitare, in vari scenari, alcuni tra i migliori dj e produttori della scena elettronica oggi esistente a livello nazionale ed internazionale. Luoghi magnifici, sia pubblici che privati, che faranno da cornice alla musica che oggi raccoglie più consensi in ogni parte del Globo, questo sempre, però, dando risalto agli aspetti più moderni e più legati a quella che è la vera essenza dell’arte: provocare. Ed è anche per questi motivi che il Versatile coniuga la musica con altre forme espressive: dalle installazioni urbane alla performance alle proiezioni di video originali. Idee e progetti realizzati in collaborazioni con le migliori “menti” e realtà dell’Isola e in particolare di Alghero come Spazio T, Mouse Arti Grafiche con i collaboratori Luca Ciabatti e Gianfranco Fois. Ma anche se la musica sarà “disturbata” da intrusioni di vari tipo create ad hoc per questa manifestazione, lei resta la protagonista. Quest’anno si parte dal mercoledì con un il dj set di Acirne, astro nascente e oramai nome di livello europeo, che accompagnerà il tramonto al Blau Sky Bar, l’attico dell’Hotel Catalunya. Un aperitivo, in tutti i sensi, del Versatile che poi proseguirà il giorno dopo con l’esibizione del dj di Barcellona Robert X direttamente dalla terrazza del Cinema Miramare. Questo anche per rafforzare il legame tra il Versatile e la Catalogna che vede il supporto dell’Espai Llul, sede della Generalitat de Catalunya ad Alghero. Rapporto che è sfociato anche nell’importante convegno svoltosi a maggio alla presenza dell’assessore alla Cultura del Comune di Barcellona Jaume Ciurana e di Carles Sala, direttore di Barcelona-Capital de l’Institut de Cultura de Barcellona. Momento di confronto al fine di illustrare quanto la musica, e in particolare quella di qualità e “non commerciale”, posso produrre tanto in termini economici, oltre che di crescita culturale. Come detto il giovedi ci saranno i dj “on terrace”, oltre Robert X anche John Tessitore. Oltre la particolarità dell’esibizione “dall’alto”, la musica sarà accompagnata dai visual creati per l’occasione riguardanti la città di Alghero, ovviamente in un ottica molto particolare. Venerdi, cosi come sabato, classico appuntamento pre-serata dal Miramare Music Pub con il dj set del noto dj Manu L, dopo a seguire uno dei due notturni. Questa volta sarà il locale El Tro ad ospitare tre tra i migliori dj oggi del panorama europeo e oltre: Acirne in “back to back” con Claudio Prc, di ritorno da un recente tour in Giappone, e la stella della consolle Elisa Bee. Una serata, dunque, da non perdere. Sabato il tramonto da sotto la Torre Sulis sarà accompagnato dalle note del live dei Diamond Dog duo cagliaritano di musica elettronica. La sera si prosegue sempre al Miramare con il “back to back” di Bettosun e Main, due affermati dj sardi, e poi il clou con l’appuntamento più atteso all’Embarcadero. Qui in collaborazione con “People Love Ibiza” la discoteca ubicata nella splendida baia di Porto Conte ospiterà una line-up di livello stratosferico: Dyed Soundorom, dal Circoloco di Ibiza, poi i resident Marco Colombino, Max Latino, Manu L, ma soprattutto l’atteso ritorno di Dusty Kid. Dj e produttore, nato a Cagliari, ma oggi residente “nel mondo” grazie alla sua musica conosciuta in ogni angolo del Globo, sempre nell’ambito del “club”. Domenica grandissima festa di chiusura, al Miramare Music Pub, con ancora Elisa Bee, ma ad accompagnarla Maurs e Arpxp, oggi due tra i nomi di maggior richiamo, rispetto la musica “dispari”, ovvero quella dubstep e drum ‘n’ bass, con Arpxp di recente contratto con la Metalheadz, etichett numero uno per il genere. A questo, come detto, si aggiungeranno le creazioni e interazioni urbane, lungo tutto il fine settimane targate Spazio T e ideate dalla ferviva mente di Chiara Murru. Insomma il Versatile cresce e, nonostante non sia un momento facile, continua ad andare avanti. Uno degli obiettivi che si pone è quello di attiare ad Alghero un pubblico che venga coinvolto non solo dalla musica, ma anche dalle varie tipologi di forme artistiche che non si accontentano di accontenare il pubblico, ma invece vogliono provocare e incuriosire lo spettatore. Questo può avvenire solo grazie all’interazione tra pubblico e privato che, anche questa volta, ha trovato concordi le amministrazioni locali e regionali al fine di supportare tale iniziativa.

Here comes the end of July. The summer in full swing and, as happens for three years now, here take the form Versatile music weekend. Alghero for a few days it becomes the home of the art forms, especially music, the most advanced. This is thanks to a project conceived and created by the Primigenia, now a reality in this area for almost fifteen years. From July 24 to 28 the Coral Coast will host, in various scenarios, some of the best DJs and producers of the electronic scene today exists at national level and international level. Magnificent places, both public and private, that will frame the music that currently includes more support in every part of the globe, this always, though, giving prominence to the most modern and more related to what is the true essence of art: cause. It is also for these reasons that the Versatile combines music with other forms of expression: from urban installations to performance projections of original videos. Ideas and projects carried out in collaboration with the best “minds” and reality of the Island and in particular of Alghero as space T, Mouse Graphic Arts with co-workers and Gianfranco Ciabatti Luca Fois. But even if the music will be “disturbed” by intrusions of various types specially created for this event, she is the protagonist. This year we start from Wednesday with a DJ set by Acirne, a rising star and now called the European level, which will accompany the sunset at the Sky Bar Blau, the penthouse at the Hotel Catalunya. An aperitif, in every sense of Versatile then continued the next day with a performance by the Barcelona dj Robert X directly from the terrace of Cinema Miramare. This is also to strengthen the bond between Versatile and Catalonia which sees support dell’Espai Llul, home of the Generalitat de Catalunya in Alghero. Relationship that has resulted also in the important conference held in May at the presence of Culture of the City of Barcelona Jaume Ciurana and Carles Sala, director of Barcelona-Capital de l’Institut de Cultura de Barcelona. Moment of comparison in order to illustrate how the music, and in particular the quality and “non-commercial”, can produce both in economic terms, than that of cultural growth. As said on Thursday there will be dj “on terrace”, as well as Robert X also John Weaver. Besides the special exhibition “from above”, the music will be accompanied by visuals created for the occasion about the city of Alghero, obviously in a very particular perspective. Friday, as well as Saturday evening from pre-classical appointment Miramare Music Pub with DJ’s known DJ Manu L, after to follow one of the two clubs. This time will be the local El Tro to host three of the best DJs in today’s European scene and beyond: Acirne in “back to back” with Claudio Prc, returning from a recent tour of Japan, and the star of the console Elisa Bee. One evening, therefore, not to be missed. On Saturday, the sunset from beneath the Torre Sulis will be accompanied by the notes of the Diamond Dog duo Cagliari live electronic music. The evening continues at the Miramare always with the “back to back” of Bettosun and Main, two accomplished dj Sardinians, and then the highlight with the most eagerly awaited Embarcadero. Here in collaboration with “People Love Ibiza” nightclub located in the beautiful bay of Porto Conte will host a line-up of stratospheric level: Dyed Soundorom, Circoloco from Ibiza, then the resident Mark Colombino, Max Latin, Manu L, but above all ‘long-awaited return of Dusty Kid. Dj and producer, born in Cagliari, but now lives “in the world” thanks to its music known in every corner of the globe, again as part of the “club.” Sunday great closing party at Miramare Music Pub, still with Elisa Bee, but to accompany Maurs and Arpxp, today the names of two of the most attractive, compared to the music “odd” or the dubstep and drum ‘n’ bass, with Arpxp recently signed to Metalheadz, etichett number one for the genre. In this, as mentioned, we will add the creations and urban interaction, throughout the weekends badged Space T and designed by Chiara Murru ferviva mind. In short, the Versatile grows and, although it is not an easy time, continues to move forward. One of the goals that arises is that of Alghero attiare to an audience that is involved not only music, but also by the various typological of artistic forms that are not satisfied with accontenare the public, but instead want to provoke and intrigue the viewer. This can only happen through the interaction between public and private that, once again, found the local and regional governments agreed to support this initiative.
