USI E COSTUMI MEDIEVALI – CAPOTERRA- DOMENICA 21 SETTEMBRE 2014USES and CUSTOMS – CAPOTERRA – SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 21,2014

Nel pomeriggio ci sarà l’allestimento di un piccolo mercato medievale, articolato in varie postazioni, in ognuna delle quali sarà presente un personaggio che impersonerà un mestiere o un’attività manuale del medioevo, spiegando al pubblico coinvolto i vari aspetti della propria attività, ricchi di curiosi aneddoti e supportato da attrezzature ed equipaggiamenti appositamente ricostruiti, in modo da offrire un piccolo viaggio nel tempo a metà tra didattica e intrattenimento.
Tra le varie attività saranno presenti: la cucina nel medioevo, la tessitura e il ricamo, la medicina, astronomia e astrologia, i giochi medievali per bambini e giochi d’azzardo, la scrittura, strategia militare e macchine d’assedio, armi e armature del 1300.

Dalle ore 21:00 alle 23:00 si propone la messa in scena, presso il teatro del parco, della ricostruzione di una cerimonia secondo il rito medievale (ad. esempio il battesimo di un neonato), che darà l’avvio ai conseguenti festeggiamenti, che comprenderanno un banchetto, delle danze e dei combattimenti, il tutto accompagnato da un sottofondo musicale, in modo da offrire un veritiero spaccato di vita medievale.

La messa in scena sarà operata da alcuni personaggi i cui gesti e movimenti saranno commentati da un narratore fuori scena, nell’ottica di ricreare una sorta di documentario dal vivo, che unisca un godibile intrattenimento alla divulgazione di alcuni concetti di carattere storico, e curiosi aneddoti sulla vita medievale, come ad esempio le abitudini a tavola, le armi e le danze.In the afternoon there will be the creation of a small medieval market, articulated in various locations, in each of which there will be a character who will play a craft or a manual of the Middle Ages, explaining to the public involved in the various aspects of its business, the rich of curious anecdotes and supported by tools and equipment specially rebuilt, in order to offer a little trip back in time somewhere between teaching and entertainment.
Among the various activities will be present: the kitchen in the middle ages, weaving and embroidery, medicine, astronomy and astrology, medieval games for kids and games of chance, writing, strategy and military siege engines, weapons and armor of 1300.

From 21:00 to 23:00 is proposed staging at the theater in the park, the reconstruction of a medieval ceremony according to the rites (for. Example the baptism of an infant), which will launch the consequent celebrations , which will include a banquet, dances and fights, all accompanied by background music, in order to offer a true slice of medieval life.

The staging will be operated by some of the characters whose gestures and movements will be commented on by a narrator offstage, in order to recreate a kind of documentary, live, combining an enjoyable entertainment to the disclosure of some of the concepts of historical and curious anecdotes about medieval life, such as eating habits, weapons and dancing.
