Il fascino di “un pensiero triste che si balla” tra note e visioni per  il “Tributo ad Astor Piazzolla” in programma venerdì 18 gennaio dalle 18 al Palazzo Siotto in via dei Genovesi 114 a Cagliari: nel cuore della città murata uno speciale omaggio al compositore argentino a cura di Claire de Lune-Eventi Culturali (sotto l’egida della Provincia di Cagliari e dell’Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Cagliari, in collaborazione con la Fondazione “Giuseppe Siotto”) tra le sequenze del film-documentario “Astor Piazzolla – In Portrait” (alle 18) e i ritmi sincopati e le inconfondibili melodie del concerto dedicato al “Tango Nuevo” (dalle 19) che vedrà protagonisti il violinista Francesco Pilia e il pianista Marcello Melis.

Un viaggio tra musica e immagini – tra rari materiali d’archivio, interviste e testimonianze, registrazioni di concerti e spezzoni di films che compongono un vivido ritratto dell’artista, artefice di una rivoluzione del tango; e un’antologia dei suoi pezzi più famosi, eseguiti dal vivo dal duo per il progetto sonoro ispirato alle suggestioni del “Tango Nuevo” – alla riscoperta della figura e dell’opera del maestro che ha trasfigurato metriche e stilemi del popolare ballo nato per le vie di Buenos Aires.

Raffinate alchimie, note struggenti e passaggi virtuosi per il concerto di Francesco Pilia e Marcello Melis, che suggellerà la serata nel segno di Piazzolla, nell’intreccio tra la voce del più acuto degli archi e le timbriche dello strumento a tastiera per sfogliare alcune delle più celebri pagine del compositore argentino – di origini italiane – che ha tradotto in musica lo spirito innovatore del suo tempo, mescolando al fuoco della passione che anima la danza nuovi elementi musicali e strumentali, in un’estetica contemporanea aperta alle contaminazioni tra culture, conquistando così il pubblico delle sale da concerto d’Europa e del mondo.

A journey through music and images – including rare archival materials, interviews and testimonies, recordings of concerts and clips of films that make up a vivid portrait of the artist, the creator of a revolution of the tango, and an anthology of his most famous pieces , performed live by the duo for the sound design inspired to the “Tango Nuevo” – the rediscovery of the figure and work of the master who has transfigured metrics and styles of popular dance born in the streets of Buenos Aires.
