Sarà il Lazzaretto di Sant’Elia, a Cagliari, ad ospitare lo spettacolo dei TrainDogs, storie di uomini e di donne, emozioni, pensieri, riflessioni, momenti vissuti e raccontati in undici righe meno qualcosa, letti e interpretati dal loro autore, Fabio Palombo, e accompagnati dalla chitarra di Fabrizio Lai, dalle percussioni di Emanuele Pusceddu e dalla voce della cantante Stefania Secci. L’evento, dal titolo “Acqua di onda”, si terrà sabato 6 luglio 2013 a partire dalle ore 21:30 e avrà lo scopo di raccogliere fondi per l’associazione nazionale Famiglie SMA (Atrofia Spinale Muscolare), realtà impegnata nell’accoglienza e nel sostegno alle famiglie di chi è affetto dalla malattia, nella formazione degli operatori sanitari e nel supporto alla ricerca sulla patologia. Quello dei TrainDogs è un fenomeno letterario nato tre anni fa sul social network per mano di un pendolare della tratta Saronno-Milano intento a raccontare storie sospese nell’atmosfera del viaggio. Oggi è diventato uno spettacolo itinerante, spesso organizzato dagli stessi lettori, in cui si fondono lettura, canto e musica. Dopo le doppie tappe di Milano e Roma e dopo Manerba del Garda (BS), lo spettacolo lascia per la prima volta la penisola per approdare a Cagliari.

In viaggio, dal social alla vita reale
“I TrainDogs sono nati il 13 aprile 2010 con il semplice intento di condividere attraverso Facebook pensieri ed emozioni suscitati dall’umanità che il treno proponeva – spiega Palombo, nella vita direttore creativo di TBWA Italia, nota agenzia pubblicitaria – Oggi, giunti a 465, raccontano momenti di vita indipendentemente dal contesto in cui li produco, come se fossi costantemente in viaggio. Tutto ciò è reso possibile dal social network, unico luogo in cui vengono pubblicati e seguiti i brani. Si può dire che sono nati sul treno e sono cresciuti su Facebook, come storie senza una morale e prive di giudizi, storie in cui è dato libero spazio all’immaginazione e all’immedesimazione.”
I TrainDogs sono seguiti da migliaia di lettori affezionati (sono letti settimanalmente da 30.000 utenti unici, con circa 50.000 visualizzazioni al giorno), passati nel tempo dalla lettura all’ascolto dal vivo. Spesso sono proprio loro a organizzare spontaneamente gli spettacoli di reading, dando all’autore la possibilità di interagire non solo virtualmente con il pubblico ma anche quella di proporre una fruizione diversa dalla lettura su Facebook.
“Dopo aver visto i racconti diventare oggetti artistici con le stampe dei “Word su tela”, soggetti d’ispirazione per video e cortometraggi, non immaginavo che si sarebbero trasformati in uno spettacolo itinerante. Un viaggio di cui non conosco tutte le tappe né la meta. Proprio come nei TrainDogs, ogni tappa ha la sua storia, i suoi protagonisti e, soprattutto, il suo pubblico – conclude Palombo – dopo Milano, Roma e Manerba del Garda, non vedo l’ora di incontrare quello sardo.”
