Dopo un silenzio discografico durato quasi due anni, con la breve parentesi della versione di Easy, di Lionel Ritchie, i TRAIN TO ROOTS tornano con un nuovo progetto che anticipa l’uscita del nuovo disco prevista per la fine dell’anno.
AFRICANS è un nuovo singolo, ma è soprattutto un video-racconto. Con questo brano, disponibile in download gratuito sul sito dei TTR e in ascolto su SoundCloud nella versione estesa, la band sassarese ha voluto raccontarsi e condividere con il pubblico tutte le fasi della nascita del progetto discografico. Insieme al brano è infatti uscito un breve documentario che attraverso il lavoro dei musicisti e le loro brevi interviste realizzate al Sottopelle Studio di Daniele Ferroni ad Alghero, mostra la genesi di Africans, un pezzo dal sapore foundation, un brano in pieno stile Roots anni ’70 inglese, che ricorda le origini mai dimenticate dei Train To Roots. “AFRICANS Recording Sessions” è stato realizzato dall’etnomusicologo Fabio Calzia di “Seuna Lab”, con la collaborazione di Gianfranco Manai ed è disponibile sul canale Youtube del gruppo.
L’ “antipasto” di Africans precede il lavoro che aspetta la band dalla prossima settimana con le prime registrazioni del nuovo disco, sempre nello studio Sottopelle di Alghero. La grande novità per questo nuovo lavoro dei Train To Roots è la scelta di un produttore molto noto della scena musicale alternativa italiana, MAX STIRNER (Manuele Fusaroli), che sbarcherà in Sardegna nei prossimi giorni per cominciare il lavoro del nuovo disco.
Ma nel frattempo la band non si ferma e prepara al nuovo tour estivo che toccherà i principali palchi dell’Isola, nazionali e internazionali. Le prove generali del nuovissimo live che avrà la sua prima in Sardegna, a Porto Torres, il 1 giugno, preceduto da un’anteprima il 1 maggio a Oristano, sono in corso. Il nuovo show avrà moltissime novità, a partire dal nuovo look dei musicisti, la nuova scenografia e soprattutto l’anticipazione dei nuovi brani. Il tour dei Train To Roots si snoderà poi tra Isola e Continente, attraverso festival e piazze italiane e internazionali. La band sarà ospite, tra gli altri, di eventi come il Reggae Jam festival in Austria e il Sunrise Reggae e Ska festival in Germania.

After a recording silence lasted nearly two years, with the brief version of Easy by Lionel Ritchie, the TRAIN TO ROOTS back with a new project that anticipates the release of the new album scheduled for the end of the year.
Africans is a new single, but is primarily a video-story. With this track, available for free download on the site of TTR and listen on SoundCloud in the extended version, the band wanted to tell Sassari and share with the public all stages of the birth of the recording project. Along with the song is in fact released a short documentary that through the work of musicians and their brief interviews to Sottopelle Studio Daniele Ferroni Alghero, shows the genesis of Africans, a piece flavor foundation, a track-style Roots years’ 70 English, reminiscent of the origins of the Train To Roots never forget. “Africans Recording Sessions” was produced by the ethnomusicologist Fabio Calzia of “Seuna Lab”, in collaboration with Gianfranco Manai and is available on the Youtube channel of the group.
L ‘”appetizer” of Africans before the job waiting for the band next week with the first recordings of the new album, still in the study Sottopelle of Alghero. The trial run of the new live which will have its first in Sardinia, Porto Torres, June 1, preceded by a preview May 1 in Oristano, are underway. The new show will have plenty of new features, starting with the new look of the musicians, the new scenery and especially the anticipation of the new songs. The tour will wind Train To Roots then between Island and Mainland, through festivals and Italian and international markets.
