I Topsy the Great sono un power trio strumentale formatosi a Prato nel 2008. Il nome si ispira alla tragica storia di una elefantessa, Topsy, fulminata pubblicamente in central park da Thomas Edison per dimostrare che la corrente alternata era sconsigliata per l’uso domestico.
Tra il 2010 ed il 2011 i Topsy the Great intensificano la loro attività live, condividendo il palco con numerose band come Calibro 35, Fratelli Calafuria, Mombu, Plasma Expander, Oshinoko Bunker Orchestra e Criminal Jokers.
Nel 2011 registrano il loro disco d’esordio in uscita ad autunno 2012 per fromscratch e santa valvola.

I Fujima nascono legalmente nell’ottobre 2011 in una scomoda saletta di Oristano, ma si concretizzano e iniziano a trovare un sound solo dopo il trasferimento nella cella frigo di Cagliari, qualche mese dopo. Il risultato finale è un mix di influenze e ispirazioni (una su tutte quella dei Pixies) che hanno caratterizzato le esperienze musicali dei diversi componenti della band, bassi distorti, accordature alla Dylan, loop station, delay, batteria picchiata per farle male, birra da discount e molto altro.

The Topsy the Great is an instrumental power trio formed in Prato in 2008. The name is inspired by the tragic story of an elephant, Topsy, burned publicly in Central Park by Thomas Edison to show that the AC was not recommended for home use.
Between 2010 and 2011 the Topsy the Great intensify their live performances, sharing the stage with many bands such as Caliber 35, Fratelli Calafuria, Mombu, Plasma Expander, Oshinoko Bunker Orchestra and Criminal Jokers.
In 2011 they recorded their debut album to be released in fall 2012 for fromscratch and holy valve.

The Fujima legally born in October 2011 in an uncomfortable room of Oristano, but materialize and begin to find a sound only after the transfer to the cold storage of Cagliari, a few months later.
