The exhibition-exhibition was inaugurated Friday, July 6, at 19, and will be open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9 to 13, excluding holidays, admission free, until September 25.
The installation was strongly supported by Sciola, is a group of about 80 vertical elements made of old ‘tubes Innocents': a small forest metal, multiplied by the presence of distorting mirrors, characterized by the linearity of its components. The works of Sciola, born as a “homage to GaudÔ, calling the oldest church in Cagliari where the Superintendent is proud to present to the public in a space not only architecturally, not only religious but emblematic for its historical stratification.
The new architectural sculptures of Master Pinuccio Sciola, that fit perfectly in the sacred context and with their ascensionalità , come to “touch” the soffit of the dome. Linearity is also simple, short: the pipes that were used in the past to the implementation of the architecture, in this case “become” their own architecture, reducing it to its purest essence, structure, development of which is multiplied in curved lines (mirrors) and spiers of Antoni Gaudà and iron that celebrate the sacredness of nature. The symmetrical arrangement of the needles of iron, apparently random, recalls the austere composition of the basilicas in plan to compete with the central element to the heart of the liturgy, centered, however, in this case, there is a small olive tree , the symbol of life and holiness. In the name of this sacredness has absolutely wanted to keep the liturgical space dedicated to the primary function of the monument, using the forest of spiers welcomes visitors and the faithful as a preamble to the dialogue between creativity and faith that finds its concrete expression in this opportunity . An exhibition not to be missed.
