THE DISCOVERY OF A SECRET WORLD OF SNAILS, INSECTS AND SPIDERS! – EXMA’ – CAGLIARI – DECEMBER 8 TO 28

From 8 to 28 December children from 3 to 10 years old can go to discover the secret world of snails, insects and spiders, and even spend a night with the giant spiders, thanks to a series of very special workshops to be held Cagliari, the Municipal Art Centre Exmà by the specialists of the cultural points of view.

“The discovery of a secret world of … snails, insects and spiders!” Is the title of the project, is a path full of fantasy that aims to make children experience the sensations stimulated by the elements of nature, making them empathize with from time to time in a different pet, to discover the charm of biodiversity and increasing the curiosity towards the world of microfauna. All boys and girls in fact have a natural inclination to explore the world of animals, through these meetings we try to encourage this attitude spontaneous, preventing or helping them to overcome the fears and phobias that adults often move on them.

Each day will have a moment of creativity related to the topics covered: the corner of Hall Terrace, where activities will take place, will be devoted to the construction of a microcosm that will be transformed and expanded from time to time and will form a final exhibition.

The final stage of the project will be the scheduled appointment on December 28 titled Help, there’s a spider under the bed, when thirty children can spend the night (from 20:00 to 23:00) with a giant spider but … absolutely harmless: between readings, themed construction of the spider good night’s dinner and lunches!

Saturday, December 8:

Round 1: children aged 3 to 5 years (from 16.30 to 17.30)
2nd round: children aged 6 to 10 years (from 18 to 19.30)

Children will be invited to plunge into the microworld of snails, from what we find in our gardens up to the giants (large as twenty inches!) From the African continent. It will be a special occasion to observe the animal from the actual readings with ad hoc: the participants will discover how it feels to be nuts, how many colors and shapes can be the shell, what they can eat, and many others that come to mind ! With the recycled material will be built habitat of the snail snails and many fantastic plastic, paper, aluminum foil and other waste materials!

Observe live some particular species of cockroaches … What is so special that we would like to have? The antennas? The wings? They make us fear or intrigue us? Find out how they live, how they grow molting. We build with recycled materials their micro and small population.

What are spiders so special? Are actually dangerous, blacks and hairy? How do they weave the spider’s web and what is it? Observe live many different spiders and their houses. We build a web with threads of wool, cotton, paper and scrap materials and many magical spiders.

Help, there’s a spider under the bed!

Thirty children can spend the night (from 20:00 to 23:00) with a giant spider … but absolutely harmless: between readings, themed construction of the spider good night’s dinner and lunches!
