La leggenda dei King Crimson raccontata da Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Adrian Belew, che ancora oggi ne rappresentano il cuore pulsante, con il supporto dei tre straordinari artisti Markus Reuter, Julie Slick e Tobias Ralpah, a riproporre la formula doppio trio sperimentata dai King Crimson dal 1994 al 1997.
I King Crimson, fondamentali per l’evoluzione del rock contemporaneo, pubblicano nel 1969 il leggendario “In the Court of the Crimson King”, 33 giri di esordio: quando ancora non esisteva il concetto di rock progressive loro ne sintetizzavano già l’essenza. The Crimson ProjeKCt è senza dubbio una diramazione dei King Crimson. Il loro è un concerto magico che attraversa i classici degli anni ‘70 (“Red”, “Larks’ Tongues in Aspic Part II”), le pulsioni ritmiche degli anni ‘80 (“Elephant Talk”, “Frame by Frame”, “Indiscipline”, “Thela Hun Ginjeet”, “Sleepless”), le sperimentazioni ricercate e nervose dei ‘90 (“Thrak”, “B’Boom”, “Vrooom Vrooom”).
Il filo conduttore è da ricercarsi nei ProjeKCts di Fripp & Co., che dal 1997 in poi hanno caratterizzato la storia parallela dei King Crimson. Tony Levin e Adrian Belew entrano nei King Crimson nel 1981, Pat Mastelotto nel 1994. Levin e Mastelotto formano gli Stick Men nel 2009, Belew inaugura il suo Power Trio nel 2006.
