Il THotel incontra il Maestro del Bisso, ed è subito evento.

Domenica 14 aprile alle ore 16, nel Centro Congressi del THotel di Cagliari, in via dei Giudicati, Chiara Vigo, mostrerà come si lavora la preziosa fibra tratta dalla Pinna Nobilis (il più grande bivalve del Mediterraneo) e dialogherà con il pubblico. Nel contempo sarà presentato l’ebook illustrato “Dal buio alla luce, il bisso marino e Chiara Vigo” di Susanna Lavazza – la prima biografia artistica del Maestro di bisso Chiara Vigo – e verrà proiettato un bellissimo documentario della tv svizzera sulla “seta del mare” che ai tempi della Bibbia usavano solo sacerdoti e re.

Dal 12 al 21 aprile, negli spazi comuni del THotel resteranno in mostra le immagini del fotografo Roberto Rossi, di Carbonia, che illustrano alcuni momenti dell’attività del Maestro di bisso.

Commendatore della Repubblica Italiana, candidata Patrimonio immateriale dell’Umanità dall’Unesco, oggetto di 10 tesi di laurea, Chiara Vigo, 58 anni, di Sant’Antioco, è l’unica persona al mondo che lavora ancora questo prezioso filato secondo la tradizione che arriva dalla Mesopotamia, dai Caldei. Una sacerdotessa che segue riti antichissimi ed esprime nella sua parte esoterica la millenaria cultura che ha attraversato il Mediterraneo. Una tradizione, quella della lavorazione del Bisso, che si tramanda da 23 generazioni. Una maestria che si esprime in opere custodite nei più importanti musei: dal Louvre al Pigorini di Roma all’Etnografico di Basilea. Anche perché il bisso non si vende e non si compra: si può solo donare o ricevere.
