Un progetto rivolto agli interpreti del Gipsy Jazz, da Birèli Lagrene a Angelo Debarre, da Stochelo Rosemberg a Tchavolo Smidth……
Il Progetto:
Il jazz manouche (anche noto come gipsy jazz, gipsy swing o hot club jazz) è uno degli stili del jazz. Si definisce jazz manouche quello stile musicale melodico cadenzato in cui trovano la massima espressione gli strumenti a corda (chitarre, bassi, violini…), tipico delle band tzigane. Questo genere musicale trae la sua origine dall’irripetibile esperienza artistica del chitarrista Django Reinhardt, che ne è considerato l’ideatore e il suo massimo esponente: egli ha reso possibile l’unione tra l’antica tradizione musicale zingara del ceppo dei Manouches e il jazz americano.
Il frutto di questa unione è un genere che coniuga la sonorità e la creatività espressiva dello swing degli anni trenta con il filone musicale del valse musette francese ed il virtuosismo eclettico tzigano.

The Project:
The jazz manouche (also known as gypsy jazz, gypsy swing or hot club jazz) is one of the styles of jazz. It defines what jazz manouche style of music in which melodic rhythmic find their maximum expression string instruments (guitars, basses, violins …), typical of the Gypsy band. This kind of music has its origins by the unique artistic experience of guitarist Django Reinhardt, who is regarded as the inventor and its greatest exponent: he made it possible union between the ancient tradition of gypsy music and the strain of Manouches American jazz.
The fruit of this union is a genre that combines the sound and the creative expression of the swing of the thirties with the musical genre of the valse musette French and virtuosity eclectic gypsy.
