ricordando Billy Sechi – 21 e 22 Settembre 2013

Suoni d’autunno,
manifestazione di jazz fortemente voluta dall’amministrazione comunale
di Soleminis per ricordare Billy Sechi, il batterista cagliaritano che
proprio a Soleminis viveva con la sua famiglia, giunge alla sua seconda
edizione.

Due giorni di jazz in cui amici e musicisti si incontrano
sul palco per salutare Billy e farlo conoscere a chi non ha avuto la
fortuna di vederlo suonare.

Il primo dei due appuntamenti è fissato
per sabato prossimo, il 21, a partire dalle 19,30 si esibirà, sul palco
allestito a Soleminis in piazza Funtanesusu, parte dei migliori
musicista jazz isolani con un ospite d’eccezione: Roberto Gatto.

Sarà
il progetto Serendip del percussionista Giorgio Del Rio ad aprire la
manifestazione, insieme alle voci di Manuela Cossu, Eva Pagella, Alice
Madeddu e Giampiero Boi e con il basso di Fabio Uselli e la chitarra di
Maurizio Marzo.

Seguirà la proiezione  del documentario di Enrico Pau
“Storie di pugili” per cui Billy Sechi, insieme al chitarrista Massimo
Ferra, aveva curato la colonna sonora.

L’otteto di Paolo Carrus con
Lucia Fodde porterà in scena le composizioni contenute nel disco “Open
View”.

A chiudere la serata il batterista romano Roberto Gatto
accompagnato da Nicola Muresu, Alessandro Di Liberto, e Stefano D’Anna.

Si prosegue il giorno sucessivo, domenica 22 con il live del
sassofonista algherese Enzo Favata in “Decoder” con U.T. Ghandi
(batteria), Marcello Peghin (chitarra) e Danilo Gallo (basso).

Performance anticipata dal quartetto Arenara (con Ignazio Sechi alla
batteria, Massimo Carboni al sassofono e Matteo Muntoni al basso ed il
progetto Hard’Up del sassofonista Andrea Morelli in trio con Massimo
“Maso ” Spano al contrabbasso e Alessandro Garau alla batteria. A fare
da contorno agli eventi musicali organizzati dall’Associazione Billy
Sechi, la mostra fotografica “Scatti di Jazz” e una masterclass di
batteria “jazz life” curata da Roberto Gatto.

Sounds of autumn,

Soleminis to remember Billy Sechi , drummer Cagliari who
just Soleminis lived with his family, now in its second
edition .

Two days of jazz where friends and musicians meet
Billy on stage to greet and make it known to those who did not have the
lucky enough to see him play .

The first of the two events is fixed
next Saturday , the 21st, starting at 19.30 will be performing on stage
set up in the square in Soleminis Funtanesusu , part of the best
jazz musician Islanders with a special guest: Roberto Gatto .

It will be
the project Serendip percussionist Giorgio Del Rio to open the
event, along with the entries of Manuela Cossu , Eva Test Results, Alice
Madeddu and Giampiero Boi and the bottom of Fabio Uselli and guitar
Maurizio March .

Followed by a screening of the documentary by Enrico Pau
“Stories of boxers ” to which Billy Sechi , along with guitarist Massimo
Ferra , had edited the soundtrack.

The octet of Paolo Carrus with
Lucia Fodde will stage the compositions on the disc “Open
View “.

To close the evening, the Roman drummer Roberto Gatto
accompanied by Nicola Muresu , Alessandro Di Liberto , and Stefano D’Anna .

It continues the following day , Sunday 22 with the live of
Alghero saxophonist Enzo Favata in ” Decoder” with UT Ghandi
(drums), Marcello Peghin (guitar) and Danilo Gallo (bass).

Performance Arenara advance by the quartet ( with Ignazio Sechi to
drums, Massimo Carboni on sax and Matteo Muntoni at low and
Hard’Up project of saxophonist Andrea Morelli in a trio with Massimo
” Maso ” Spano on bass and Alessandro Garau the battery. To do
surround musical events organized by the Billy
Sechi , the photo exhibition ” Shots of Jazz” and a masterclass
battery ” Jazz Life “, edited by Roberto Gatto .
