Il nuovo spettacolo dell’Associazione Figli d’Arte Medas tratto dalle fiabe della tradizione sarda. Appuntamento martedì 21 gennaio, ore 21:30, al Birrificio Nuragico di viale Umberto Ticca 11. La voce di Gianluca Medas e le musiche della Grande Madre Band

L’Associazione Figli d’Arte Medas ospite del Birrificio Nuragico di Cagliari. Martedì 21 gennaio alle ore 21:30, nel locale di viale Umberto Ticca 11, la Compagnia teatrale presenta lo spettacolo Su Contu de Maria Farranca, narrazione con canti e musiche interpretata da Gianluca Medas con l’accompagnamento musicale della Grande Madre Band guidata dal chitarrista Andrea Congia.

Lo Spettacolo
Echi di riti ancestrali, credenze popolari di antica memoria, epoche lontane ricche di esseri fantastici, le Fiabe di Sardegna rispondono a dei perché, frutto di paure, incubi, isolamento e miseria. Ieri come Oggi, le Favole per grandi e piccini vengono evocate, tra Parola e Musica, dalla suadente voce del narratore Gianluca Medas e dalle suggestive musiche della Grande Madre Band guidata da Andrea Congia per far rivivere luoghi e personaggi di una Terra Millenaria.

Maria Farranca
La malvagia Strega dalle lunghe braccia e dalle affilate unghie, tra Mito e Leggenda, vive dentro i pozzi in attesa che qualcuno si affacci. Vigile e paziente, Maria Farranca aspetta il piccolo sfortunato attirato dal buio Pozzo. Arrampicandosi sulle alte pareti della sua dimora, afferra il malcapitato con gli aguzzi artigli, trasformandolo in un maialino, per condurlo nel suo Regno sotterraneo, fatto di buie e labirintiche gallerie.

Associazione Figli d’Arte Medas
Nata nel 1990 per iniziativa di Gianluca Medas, l’Associazione porta avanti un percorso poliedrico nel quale Cultura Popolare, Teatro di Narrazione e Musica costituiscono le cifre estetiche più importanti. Diversi progetti hanno preso forma, nel corso del tempo, e hanno portato la Compagnia ad essere riconosciuta dal Ministero della Cultura della Repubblica Italiana. Tra le attività più recenti tre Rassegne di rilevante importanza culturale: Il Festival della Storia, la Rassegna Famiglie d’Arte e Significante – Rassegna di Spettacolo tra Parola e Musica.

Gli Artisti

Gianluca Medas
Regista, narratore, scrittore, attore e autore, ha esplorato le molte possibilità della comunicazione portando avanti una ricerca che spazia dall’ambito teatrale fino a quello televisivo, senza trascurare il settore editoriale e quello cinematografico. Proveniente dall’unica Famiglia d’Arte Sarda, quella dei Medas, fin dal 1985 Gianluca Medas si adopera attivamente per tenere in vita la tradizione artistica di famiglia approfondendo un percorso dedicato al Teatro di Narrazione e impegnandosi anche nella realizzazione di nuovi progetti ispirati alla Cultura Popolare.

Andrea Congia
Laureato in Filosofia e laureando in Etnomusicologia presso il Conservatorio di Cagliari. Chitarrista (chitarra classica, baritono e fretless), autore e interprete nelle formazioni musicali sperimentali Nigro Minstrel, Mascherada, Antagonista Quintet, Crais Trio, Baska, Hellequin, Orchestrina dei Miracoli, Gastropod, Skull Cowboys, Grande Madre Band. Da anni prosegue sulla strada della coniugazione tra Parola e Musica in collaborazione con numerosi artisti provenienti da ambienti musicali e teatrali sardi in particolar modo attraverso la direzione artistica della Rassegna di Spettacolo Significante.

Grande Madre Band
Nata nel 2013 come progetto artistico parallelo allo spettacolo La Grande Madre: Contus e Cantus dall’Isola, la band si pone l’obiettivo di unire l’assetto musicale di impronta occidentale con gli strumenti tradizionali sardi, per una rivisitazione dinamica della tradizione. Il gruppo, fondato da Andrea Congia (chitarra classica), si avvale dei contributi di Mauro Spiga (sulitus, trunfas, tamburello), Mauro Pes (pianoforte/fisarmonica), Marco Loddo (basso elettrico) e Roberto Matzuzzi (batteria/percussioni).

The Association of the Sons of Art Medes guest Brewery Nuragico of Cagliari. Tuesday, January 21 at 21:30 , in Viale Umberto local Ticca 11, the Theatre Company presents the show On Contu Farranca de Maria , with storytelling songs and music played by Gianluca Medes with the musical accompaniment of the Great Mother Band led by guitarist Andrea Congia .

the Show
Echoes of ancestral rites , popular beliefs of ancient memory , distant eras full of fantastic creatures , the Tales of Sardinia meet because of the result of fears , nightmares, isolation and misery. Yesterday and Today, Fables for adults and children are evoked , including Word and Music, the soothing voice of the narrator Gianluca Medes and the evocative music of the Great Mother Band led by Andrea Congia to revive the places and characters of a Millennial Earth .

Mary Farranca
The wicked witch with long arms and sharp nails, between Myth and Legend, lives inside the wells waiting for someone to look out . Watchful and patient, waiting for the little unfortunate Mary Farranca attracted by the dark Well. Climbing on the high walls of his home , grab the victim with the sharp claws, turning it into a pig, to lead him into his kingdom underground , made of dark and labyrinthine tunnels.

Association Sons of Art Medes
Founded in 1990 by Gianluca Medes , the Association carries out a path in which multifaceted Popular Culture , Theatre Storytelling and Music are the most important figures aesthetic . Several projects have taken shape in the course of time , and led the company to be recognized by the Ministry of Culture of the Italian Republic. Among the most recent three Reviews of significant cultural importance : The History of the Festival , the Festival of Art and Significant Families – Review of Performance between Word and Music.

the Artists

Gianluca Medes
Director, storyteller , writer , actor, and author , has explored the many possibilities of communication carrying out a research that ranges from the scope up to the television drama , not to mention the publishing industry and the cinema . Hailing from the only family Sarda Art , that of the Medes , since 1985 Gianluca Medes is actively seeking to keep alive the artistic tradition of delving into a family dedicated path to the Theatre of Narration and also engaging in new projects inspired by the Culture popular.

Andrea Congia
He graduated in Philosophy and majoring in Ethnomusicology at the Conservatory of Cagliari. Guitarist ( classical guitar, fretless bass and baritone ), author and performer in the experimental ensembles Nigro Minstrel , Mascherada , Antagonist Quintet , Trio Crais , Baska, Hellequin , Orchestrina of Miracles, Gastropod , Skull Cowboys, Big Band Mother . For years, continues on the path of conjugation between the Word and Music in collaboration with numerous artists from musical and theatrical environments Sardinian particularly through the artistic direction of the Review of Significant Entertainment .

Great Mother Band
Founded in 2013 as an art project parallel to the show The Great Mother : Contus Cantus and from the Island, the band aims to combine spatial footprint of Western music with traditional instruments Sardinians, for a dynamic reinterpretation of tradition. The group, founded by Andrea Congia ( classical guitar ) , relies on the contributions of Mauro Spiga ( sulitus , trunfas , tambourine ), Mauro Pes ( piano / accordion ), Marco Loddo (bass guitar) and Roberto Matzuzzi (drums / percussion) .
