“Su cielu prenu”. E’ stata questa la frase che un radiotelegrafista, nel vedere lo sciame di aerei in avvicinamento sulla città, esclamò nel febbraio del 1943 segnalando l’imminente distruzione di Cagliari, colpita dalle bombe devastanti. Oltre mille morti, centinaia di edifici rasi al suolo, tanti monumenti devastati.

Ora, dopo 70 anni da quei tragici eventi bellici, è tempo di ricordare. E’ questo obiettivo della Società di Sant’Anna e dell’Associazione Sardegna Sotterranea che, anche quest’anno (il quinto consecutivo), in collaborazione con l’Anget, hanno ideato una due giorni interamente dedicata alla città durante la seconda guerra mondiale.

L’evento, che si intitola 17 Febbraio 1943 “Su cielu prenu”, prevede una due giorni di rievocazioni. La prima serata culturale si terrà sabato prossimo, 16 febbraio, alle ore 18 nella Chiesa di Santa Chiara.

Immagini e video allieteranno la serata introdotta dalla presidente della Società di Sant’Anna Francesca Varbeu e dallo scrittore Marcello Polastri, presidente di Sardegna Sotterranea che mostrerà un video inedito con tante interviste rilasciate dai superstiti del 1943. Tra le interviste storie incredibili sui rifugi sotterranei della città. Presenzieranno le autorità militari, civili e religiose mentre il vicesindaco di Cagliari, Paola Piras, porterà i saluti dell’Amministrazione civica.

Spazio anche ai documentari di Sergio Orani, all’esposizione storica di Emilio Belli, Gianpaolo Lallai, Mauro Piretti e Roberto Sarritzu dell’Istituto Nazionale Decorati al Valore Militare.

L’ingresso in sala è gratuito. Per l’occasione verrà inaugurata, alla fine del convegno serale, anche mostra di radio militari messe a disposizione dall’Anget: tra i pezzi rari ci sarà anche la radio installata sulle terribili fortezze volanti, gli aerei quadrimotori che bombardarono la città.

La mostra rimarrà aperta domenica 17 febbraio.

The event, which is titled 17 February 1943 “On cielu prenu”, provides a two-day re-enactments. The first cultural evening will be held on Saturday, February 16, at 18 in the Church of Santa Chiara.

Images and video will accompany the evening introduced by the president of the Society of St. Anne Francesca Varbeu and writer Marcello Polastri, president of Sardinia Underground, which will show a new video with lots of interviews with survivors of the 1943. Among the interviews amazing stories about underground shelters in the city. Attending the military authorities, civil and religious, while the deputy mayor of Cagliari, Paola Piras, will bring greetings civic administration.

Space to Sergio Orani documentaries, historical exposure of Emilio Belli, Gianpaolo Lallai, and Roberto Mauro Piretti Sarritzu National Institute Decorated Military Valour.

The entrance hall is free. For the occasion, will be inaugurated at the end of the conference in the evening, also show military radios made available dall’Anget: one of the rare pieces there will also be installed radio on the terrible flying fortresses, four-engine planes that bombed the city.

The exhibition will be open Sunday, February 17.
