La Stagione concertistica 2012-2013 del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari prosegue, venerdì 8 febbraio alle 20.30 (turno A) e sabato 9 febbraio alle 19 (turno B), con l’ottavo appuntamento affidato all’Orchestra del Teatro Lirico, diretta da Giuseppe Grazioli, la cui collaborazione è stata sempre particolarmente apprezzata nel nostro teatro.

Il programma musicale propone, nella prima parte, Finlandia op. 26 di Jean Sibelius, Four Norwegian Moods n. 19 di Igor Stravinskij e Norwegische Tänze op. 35 di Edvard Grieg, mentre nella seconda parte della serata viene eseguita la Prima Sinfonia in mi minore op. 39 di Jean Sibelius.

Un concerto, quello di questa settimana, dedicato alle scuole scandinave che, infatti, si apre con la quintessenza della musica nordica, il poema sinfonico Finlandia di Jean Sibelius (Hämeenlinna, 1865 – Järvenpää, 1957), composto per festeggiare l’indipendenza del Granducato di Finlandia dalla Russia, nel 1899. Prosegue con i Norwegian Moods di Igor Stravinskij (Oranienbaum, oggi Lomonosov, 1882 – New York, 1971) che appartengono, essendo stati scritti nel 1942, al periodo statunitense del compositore e sono originariamente pensati come materiale per una colonna sonora, e con le suggestive Danze norvegesi di Edvard Grieg (Bergen, 1843-1907) del 1881. Nella seconda parte del concerto viene proposta la Prima Sinfonia di Sibelius, composta nel 1898 ed eseguita, nella sua versione definitiva, nel 1900 a Berlino. La struttura della sinfonia è concepita in maniera tradizionale, con la suddivisione in quattro movimenti, dei quali il primo e l’ultimo aperti dallo stesso tema introduttivo, ma in netto contrasto fra loro.

The 2012-2013 concert season of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari continues, Friday, February 8th at 20.30 (session A) and Saturday, February 9 to 19 (session B), entrusted with the eighth round of the Opera House Orchestra, conducted by Giuseppe Grazioli , whose collaboration has always been particularly popular in our theater.

The musical program proposed in the first part, Finland op. 26 by Jean Sibelius, Four Norwegian Moods n. 19 Igor Stravinsky and Norwegische Tänze op. 35 by Edvard Grieg, while in the second part of the evening is performed First Symphony in E minor, Op. 39 by Jean Sibelius.

A concert, that this week, dedicated to the Scandinavian schools that, in fact, opens with the essence of Nordic music, the symphonic poem Finlandia Jean Sibelius (Hämeenlinna, 1865 – Järvenpää, 1957), composed to celebrate the independence of the Grand Duchy of Finland from Russia in 1899. Continues with the Norwegian Moods by Igor Stravinsky (Oranienbaum Lomonosov today, 1882 – New York, 1971) which are owned to having been written in 1942, the period of the American composer and originally conceived as a material for a soundtrack, and the striking Edvard Grieg Norwegian Dances (Bergen, 1843-1907) in 1881. In the second part of the concert is proposed Sibelius’s First Symphony, composed in 1898 and performed in its final version in 1900 in Berlin. The structure of the symphony is designed in a traditional manner, with the division into four movements, of which the first and the last opened from the same introductory theme, but in sharp contrast between them.
