Stefano Bollani ritorna in Sardegna e precisamente ad Oristano,dopo le entusiasmanti esibizioni del 2012, durante il Festival Appetitosamente di Siddi e il Festival di Sant’Efisio,che si è svolto a Cagliari il 5 maggio scorso.
La data per tutti gli appassionati di questo grandissimo pianista è giovedi 1 agosto 2013 alle ore 21 presso il Giardino del Seminario di Oristano.

Così George Gershwin, compositore e pianista statunitense, definisce il jazz:  un genere dove l’estemporaneità è tutto, e i vari modelli canonici della composizione vengono accantonati per prestare attenzione alla creatività del musicista, che riesce a trasmettere emozioni ininterrottamente.

Sono passati ormai molti anni da quando il grande maestro Gershwin compose Rapsodia in Blu (Rhapsody in Blue), attualmente il pezzo jazz più eseguito nelle orchestre di tutto il mondo. In tutto questo tempo il jazz ha attraversato cambiamenti epocali, iniziando da Chicago attorno gli anni ’30, dove esplose la musica jazz con la tromba di Louis Armstrong e il piano del giovane Duke Ellington. In quel periodo la diffusione della musica jazz avveniva specialmente grazie alle orchestre, le quali intrattenevano, con i loro ritmi swing e la loro capacità di creare atmosfere soul, tutti gli abitanti di una New York che ha offerto un contributo immenso alla musica con i primi locali jazz.

Bollani rivede autori storici del choro e della samba come Nelson Cavaquinho e Chico Buarque e affronta brani della nuova generazione di autori di Rio de Janeiro come Monica Salmaso e Zè Renato.
