The Heart & the Void è il progetto solista indie-folk del cagliaritano Enrico Spanu. Una musica che vuole ripartire da un approccio minimale, fragile ma al contempo complesso dove voce e chitarra sono gli elementi essenziali delle composizioni accompagnate da liriche che affrontano contrasti e contraddizioni della vita – come il nome stesso vuole suggerire: il cuore/the heart come simbolo delle emozioni, dell’amore, della speranza e il vuoto/the void a rappresentare l’oscurità, la mancanza di punti di riferimento e radici. Dal vivo si presenta da solo con un microfono e una chitarra, sulla scia degli innumerevoli cantautori di lingua anglosassone. La sua musica benchè così minimale è diretta e a volte quasi violenta, un flusso di parole e musica che mantiene la tensione alta grazie anche ad un fingerpicking sia dolce e malinconico che veloce e potente.

Isabel Piras nasce a Montreal nel 1991, dove vive fino al 1998, anno in cui si trasferisce a Selegas in provincia di Cagliari. Dopo gli studi al Liceo Artistico di Cagliari nella sezione di Architettura, decide di proseguire il percorso artistico come ritrattista continuamente alla ricerca di nuove tecniche e nuovi spazi di sviluppo sperimentali.

The Heart & the Void is the solo project of indie-folk Cagliari Henry Spanu. A music that wants to start from a minimal approach, but at the same complex where fragile vocals and guitar are the essential elements of the compositions accompanied by lyrics that deal with contrasts and contradictions of life – as the name meant to suggest: the heart / the heart as a symbol of emotions, love, hope and emptiness / the void to represent the darkness, the lack of reference points and roots. Live appears alone with a microphone and a guitar, in the wake of the many English-speaking songwriters. His music is so minimal though direct and at times almost violent, a flow of words and music that keeps the tension high thanks to a fingerpicking both sweet and melancholy that fast and powerful.

Piras Isabel was born in Montreal in 1991, where he lived until 1998, when he moved to Selegas in the province of Cagliari. After studying at the Art School of Cagliari in the section of Architecture, decided to continue the artistic career as a portraitist constantly looking for new techniques and new spaces for experimental development.
