Tanto Verdi, grandi registi – da Nekrosius a Zeffirelli – e una produzione in più per la Stagione lirica e di balletto 2013 del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari che si rilancia con un cartellone ancora più ricco, con titoli che abbinano sapientemente tradizione e ricerca.

Eimuntas NekrosiusL’inaugurazione, il 2 maggio, è affidata all’ Otello, doveroso omaggio a Giuseppe Verdi, in occasione del bicentenario della nascita: un capolavoro che può contare sull’eccezionale regia di Eimuntas Nekrosius, geniale artista lituano, acclamato a livello mondiale. Ancora Verdi nel secondo appuntamento della stagione, ma questa volta col Macbeth, che torna a Cagliari dopo quattordici anni in un allestimento dei teatri di Bologna, Trieste e Ravenna che porta la firma di Micha van Hoecke, celebre coreografo e regista, mentre la parte musicale è affidata a Renato Palumbo, direttore veneto fra i migliori interpreti della tradizione musicale italiana, in particolare verdiana.

Un gradito ritorno per il pubblico cagliaritano, a distanza di ventidue anni dall’ultima rappresentazione, è L’amico Fritz di Pietro Mascagni (omaggio nel centocinquantesimo anniversario della nascita) firmato da due artisti, Fabrizio Maria Carminati, apprezzato direttore d’orchestra, e il regista friulano Primo Antonio Petris. Un omaggio alla tradizione musicale sarda è rappresentato da I Shardana – Gli uomini dei Nuraghi, dramma di Ennio Porrino che ritorna al Lirico di Cagliari tre anni dopo la sua ultima esecuzione, ma questa volta in forma scenica, in un nuovo allestimento ideato dal giovane regista torinese Davide Livermore. Il calendario prosegue con il Così fan tutte di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart diretto dal giovane maestro Christopher Franklin.

Franco Zeffirelli In un allestimento che è un trionfo di colori, luci e realismo, a novembre approda Pagliacci di Ruggero Leoncavallo che porterà per la prima volta a Cagliari uno degli artisti più creativi, geniali e prolifici della scena mondiale: Franco Zeffirelli che festeggia quest’anno i suoi 90 anni.

Infine dal 10 al 15 dicembre, ritorna la grande danza con Red Giselle di Georges Bizet, Pëtr Il’iè Èajkovskij, Alfred Schnittke e coreografia di Boris Eifman. Le scene e i costumi sono firmati da Vjaceslav Okunev mentre l’Orchestra del Teatro Lirico è diretta da David Levi, vero “specialista” in questo repertorio.

Presentate da studiosi e musicologi in incontri a ingresso libero nel foyer del teatro, tutte le opere della Stagione 2013 – che si avvale del contributo della Fondazione Banco di Sardegna – vengono eseguite dall’Orchestra e dal Coro del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari.

“In un momento di difficoltà per l’intero settore, ma anche per la nostra città – spiega il sovrintendente del Lirico Marcella Crivellenti – abbiamo scelto di rilanciare il nostro progetto culturale con un cartellone ancora più ricco del passato, ricco di nomi che non hanno davvero bisogno di presentazioni. Ci sembra la risposta migliore ai dubbi emersi sulle prospettive del Teatro, ma anche e soprattutto alla dedizione del nostro pubblico, che in ogni momento non ha mancato di far sentire al Lirico la sua centralità nella società cagliaritana. Per il 2013 abbiamo insomma ampliato l’offerta ma, mi preme dirlo, senza un aggravio di costi perché crediamo sia possibile e doveroso garantire qualità ed efficienza gestionale”

Eimuntas NekrosiusL’inaugurazione, May 2, is assigned to ‘Othello, homage to Giuseppe Verdi, on the occasion of the bicentennial of the birth of a masterpiece that can count on the exceptional direction of Eimuntas Nekrosius brilliant Lithuanian artist, globally acclaimed. Still Green in the second round of the season, but this time with Macbeth, who returns to Cagliari after fourteen years in a production theater of Bologna, Trieste and Ravenna, which bears the signature of Micha van Hoecke, renowned choreographer and director, while the musical is managed by Renato Palumbo, director Veneto among the best interpreters of traditional Italian music, especially Verdi.
