Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli dirige l’Orchestra e il Coro del Teatro Lirico, il 1°-2 marzo, per la Stagione concertistica 2012-2013

La Stagione concertistica 2012-2013 del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari prosegue, venerdì 1 marzo alle 20.30 (turno A) e sabato 2 marzo alle 19 (turno B), con l’undicesimo appuntamento, affidato all’Orchestra ed al Coro del Teatro Lirico, diretti da Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, che ritorna a Cagliari dopo il successo del concerto dello scorso ottobre. Le voci soliste sono affermati specialisti mozartiani quali: Olga Senderskaya (soprano), Evgeniya Rakova (contralto), Nicola Pamio (tenore), Günes Gürle (basso). Il maestro del coro è Marco Faelli.

Il programma musicale prevede: Sinfonia n. 38 in Re maggiore “Praga” K. 504 di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Messa n. 1 in Re maggiore “Hofkapellmeistermesse” di Antonio Salieri; Missa in Do maggiore “Longa” K. 262 di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Un programma classico che vede accostati due autori, Mozart e Salieri, che l’immaginario collettivo associa tra loro (ma per motivi lontani dalla verità). Antonio Salieri (Legnago, 1750 – Vienna, 1825), compositore di corte dell’Imperatore Giuseppe II, fu autore sicuramente superiore alla sua fama un po’ sinistra: in particolare, la Messa in Re maggiore mostra una padronanza stilistica non inferiore a quella del ben più celebrato Franz Joseph Haydn. La Hofkapellmeistermesse, che si conclude con una citazione dell’inno imperiale asburgico, non scompare infatti neppure nel confronto con uno dei capolavori sacri di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Salisburgo, 1756 – Vienna, 1791), la Missa Longa in Do maggiore K 262. Completa il concerto la splendida Sinfonia mozartiana n. 38 in Re maggiore, denominata di Praga, città dove vi fu eseguita il 19 gennaio 1787.

The 2012-2013 concert season of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari continues, Friday, March 1 at 20.30 (session A) and Saturday, March 2 at 19 (session B), with the eleventh round, entrusted to the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Lirico, directed by Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, who returns to Cagliari after the success of the concert last October. The soloists are established specialists such as Mozart: Olga Senderskaya (soprano), Evgeniya Rakova (contralto), Nicola Pamio (tenor), Günes Gürle (bass). The choir director is Marco Faelli.

The musical program includes: Symphony no. 38 in D major “Prague” K. 504 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Mass no. 1 in D major “Hofkapellmeistermesse” by Antonio Salieri; Missa in C major “Longa” K. 262 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

A classic program that sees approached two authors, Mozart and Salieri, that the collective imagination associated with each other (but for reasons far from the truth). Antonio Salieri (Legnago, 1750 – Vienna, 1825), court composer to Emperor Joseph II, was the author certainly superior to its reputation as a bit ‘left: in particular, the Mass in D shows a mastery of style no less than that of the much celebrated Franz Joseph Haydn. The Hofkapellmeistermesse, which ends with a quote Habsburg imperial anthem, it does not disappear even in comparison with one of the masterpieces of sacred Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Salzburg, 1756 – Vienna, 1791), the Missa Longa in C major, K 262. Complete the wonderful concert of Mozart’s Symphony no. 38 in D major, known as the Prague, the city where there was executed January 19, 1787.
