BIOGRAFIA:

I RESET! sono un collettivo di Dj Producers e Promoters, nati a Milano nel 2007 come Party Electro. Col tempo sviluppano le loro doti da Producers arrivando in pochi anni a creare un loro proprio stile musicale, il “TurboFunk”.
Dopo aver prodotto remix per i più grandi nomi della musica elettronica come Fatboy Slim, Audio Bullys, Robyn, Fenech Soler, Mad Decent, Bingo Players e Cassius, rilasciano il loro quarto EP supportati da grandi nomi quali Busy P, Justice’s Xavier De Rosnay, Faithless, Annie Mac, Armand Van Helden.
Nel 2012 i loro singoli “Wind Up” e “Monsta” esordiscono sulle classifiche internazionali riscuotendo un grande successo che li porterà a effettuare un tour in Australia e Asia.

RESET! is a collective based in Milano, made of 4 djs, producers and promoters.

Whether it’s in the studio, behind the decks or promoting their own nights, Reset! have established themselves as an A-List act, regularly pulling in more than 2000 clubbers to their own infamous parties in Milan and clocking up the air miles playing some of the biggest parties around the world – from Hard in L.A. to Pacha’s Closing party in Ibiza – two own tours in Australia and Asia and some big Uk festivals.

Started in 2007 as a party, RESET! became one of the best events in town, gathering a mixed up crowd – from indie rockers to b-boys, old school ravers to students – with its funk-driven electronic music, from Nu Disco to Bassline and everything in between, and taking place in the most different venues: from small underground clubs to wearhouses, from Parco Sempione (with 5000+ people!) to Magazzini Generali, the most prestigious venue in town.

Meanwhile, after developing as the leading alternative electronic music event in Milano, they started to build RESET! as a music project summing up their long time experience as producers.

Indeed it was in 2009 after playing alongside house legends Cassius that Reset! were invited to rework the French duo’s anthemic “Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes” that got instant support from big djs, remained on Beatport’s Indie Dance Top 10 for several weeks and featured on Mixmag cover CD.
Following this breakthrough Reset!’s unmistakable funk yet banging sound has been in constant demand with the boys adding their Italian touch to a string of remixes for the likes of Fatboy Slim, Audio Bullys, Robyn, Fenech Soler, Mad Decent, Bingo Players and once again Cassius, remixing the house classic Cassius 99.

They released 4 EP’s on Herve’s Cheap Thrills label and two singles on Southern Fried, defining their signature “Turbofunk” sound with a unique blend of huge basslines, epic breakdowns, 70’s funk samples, big melodic sensibility and shuffling beats – and gaining an endless list of top supporters like Busy P, Justice’s Xavier De Rosnay, Faithless, Annie Mac, Armand Van Helden.

Late 2011 they developped their unique live show. Already tested it with great success on a raving 2000 people crowd in Milano, they play with a full band: seven elements on stage, with drum, guitars, synths, talkbox, turntables, singers and visuals to merge the power of electro with a strong rock attitude.

In 2012 their single ‘Wind Up’ sees Reset! team up with legendary Jamaican ragga MC Daddy Freddy and has been released on MoFoHiFi, getting airplay from radios worldwide and peaking two weeks at #1 on Wasabeat, the biggest Japanese dance-music digital store.

In december 2012 their single ‘Monsta (controlling the dancefloor)’ has been released on Dim Mak and their last EP ‘Stealin’ your Soul/ Monique Autoerotique’ on Downright/Ministry Of Sound Australia, followed by their second Australia/Asia tour to promote it.

Currently Reset! are busy finishing their first full album: ‘We tried to push the boundaries of composing club music with a more musical approach, with a lot of arrangement and vocals, mixing synths with real instruments (saxophones, guitars and talkbox) into more complex songs that keep evolving and changing from beginning to the end, having a broad range of influences – from old school funk to cosmic disco, 70’s rock with some prog moments to 90’s hip hop – while keeping our solid RESET! sound’ , the band says.
