I SOVIET SOVIET nascono nel 2008 a Pesaro dall’incontro tra Alessandro Costantini (voce e chitarra), Andrea Giometti (voce e basso) e Alessandro Ferri (batteria) ed esordiscono nel Giugno 2009 con il loro primo Ep autoprodotto che viene recensito anche su Pitchfork.
Dopo l’uscita del secondo Ep nel 2010 su Mannequin Rec. insieme ai franco-inglesiFrank (Just Frank), il trio incrementa il numero delle proprie partecipazioni ai festival internazionali, sia nell’Europa occidentale che nell’est balcanico . Nel Giugno 2011 il brano ‘Lokomotiv’ viene scelto come canzone d’apertura per la compilation ‘Death Disco #1′.e nello stesso mese Tannen Records pubblica l’EP ‘Summer, Jesus’ che riscuote ottime recensioni dai media specializzati nazionali ed internazionali.
Durante il 2012 i SOVIET SOVIET suonano ovunque in Italia e all’estero, aprendo concerti per band straniere e i più rinomati act italiani e l’anno successivo sono in tour in Messico. L’album ‘Fate’ esce l’11 Novembre 2013 per la label di New York Felte, sotto etichetta della nota Ghostly Records di Matthew Dear.
‘Fate’, disco della maturazione, é un incredibile lavoro capace di riportare le coordinate del post punk ai fasti gotici di Bauhaus e Joy Division, attraverso un sound potente e elettrico che coniuga A Place to Bury Strangers con Jesus and Mary Chain.

In June 2011, the song ‘ Lokomotiv ‘ is chosen as the opening song for the compilation ‘ Death Disco # 1 .’ And in the same month Tannen Records released the EP ‘ Summer , Jesus ‘ collecting good reviews from specialized media in national and international .
During 2012 the SOVIET SOVIET play everywhere in Italy and abroad , opening concerts for foreign bands and Italian most famous act and the following year they are on tour in Mexico. The album ‘ Fate’ comes out on November 11, 2013 to the label of New York FELTE , known under the label of Ghostly Records of Matthew Dear .
‘ Fate’ , maturation of the disc , is an incredible work unable to report the coordinates of the post-punk to gothic splendor of Bauhaus and Joy Division, through a powerful sound that combines electric and A Place to Bury Strangers with Jesus and Mary Chain .
