Come disse la buonanima di Frank Zappa “parlare di musica è come ballare di archittetura” … perciò limitiamo all’indispensabile l’introduzione.
Il nostro è un “work in progress”.
CoAtti Impuri: Co” perché compiuti in compagnia. “Atti impuri”: azioni musicali impure, perchè “frutto di meticciato” “ibridazione”. “Ma anche compulsione a compiere atti musicali non ortodossi.
Composizione musicale collettiva istantanea. Operazione rischiosa, che si muove sul crinale sottile del possibile equivoco. Non adottiamo il termine improvvisazione, in quanto niente si inventa davvero, ma soltanto si condividono insieme ad altri musicisti, in modo estemporaneo, elementi del proprio patrimonio musicale. Non adottiamo neppure il termine free poichè, se di libertà si tratta è certo una libertà vigile.
Il nostro suonare guarda alle regole implicite utilizzate nel linguaggio musicale durante l’esecuzione musicale priva di canovaccio o struttura temporale/armonica pre-definita.
Realizzato attraverso sessioni settimanali registrate (e successivamente analizzate) durante le nostre esplorazioni dei materiali musicali più diversi. Usiamo luoghi comuni e stilemi, e attraverso le proprietà liquide dei materiali musicali proviamo a collegare qualunque cosa con qualunque altra cosa.
Non ci soffermiamo ad esprimere giudizi estetici sul risultato,piuttosto ci limitiamo a prendere atto di alcuni evidenti fenomeni musicali.
Ci preme sottolineare che ciò che prevalentemente guida il nostro lavoro, non è la ricerca della gradevolezza delle forme, quanto piuttosto il loro equilibrio e la creazione di percorsi volta per volta per noi nuovi.
Un’ultima considerazione: generalmente si ritiene che a produrre la musica sia il solo musicista; ciò è sicuramente vero, ma soltanto per quanto riguarda la produzione dei suoni, non per quanto riguarda la produzione di “musica”, che non è solamente suono ma anche SENSO che nasce dalla comunicazione. Per questo è fondamentale il ruolo di chi ascolta. Senza ascolto non esiste musica ma esistono soltanto SUONI.
Dopo questa dotta introduzione lasciamo che sia l’orecchio a giudicare ed eventualmente a godere o soffrire
In quest’occasione saremo affiancati da Massimo Zanasi che sarà voce recitante. Con lui inteloquiremo, usando ciascuno il proprio linguaggio.

Alberto Susnik (Chitarra – composizione)

Ha collaborato con numerose formazioni di rilievo nell’ ambito della musica rock, etnica e “contaminata”, fra le quali Suonofficina (attuali Sonos), Tomato Ketchup e gli Isdenora con Marcello Ledda. Ha collaborato inoltre con diversi artisti in tournée all’estero e in produzioni discografiche. Tra esse: con Elena Ledda nel campo della musica tradizionale sarda, con Jenny Sorrenti (in una formazione in cui compaiono fra gli altri i musicisti Enzo Avitabile e Tony Cercola), e a Parigi con il cantautore algerino Majid Soula. Ha studiato composizione sperimentale e ha curato gli arrangiamenti del gruppo Isdenora.

Daniele Piga (Piano, tastiere elettroniche – composizione)

Inizia la sua attività musicale a Cagliari come pianista e tastierista intorno alla metà degli anni 70. Lavora come musicista professionista in varie band dell’ isola (in particolare jazz-bands). Nei primi anni 80 entra a far parte del gruppo Tomato Ketchup. Intanto collabora come musicista in diverse iniziative di teatro e danza.
Parte all’ estero per completare i propri studi musicali al conservatorio di Den Haag in Olanda.
Successivamente si trasferisce in Inghilterra dove suona, insegna e collabora con numerosi musicisti jazz inglesi, poi ancora in Australia a Melbourne e in Svezia a Stoccolma. Dalla meta’ degli anni 90 inizia a comporre utilizzando per lo piu’ sintetizzatori, campionatori di suono e sequencer/computer based. Realizza sigle e colonne sonore per documentari TV e commercial, e collabora inoltre a progetti scolastici interattivi e multimediali quali “Parco letterario G. Deledda” e “Laboratorio della memoria” organizzato dal comune di Ozieri. Da circa due anni è di nuovo a Cagliari e dà vita insieme ad Alberto Susnik e Paolo Mereu all’attuale trio di ricerca sull’improvvisazione libera “Co-Atti impuri”.

Paolo Mereu (Chitarra – composizione)

Contribuisce alla costituzione del gruppo musicale cagliaritano Tomato Ketchup, di cui compone parte delle musiche. Con lo stesso gruppo partecipa nell’autunno dell’85 al Zurich Jazz festival.
Per alcuni anni segue le lezioni del Corso Sperimentale di Composizione del Maestro Franco Oppo presso il Conservatorio Musicale di Cagliari.
La sua esperienza professionale nel mondo dell’informatica lo porta poi a collaborare allo sviluppo di software musicale per chitarra e ad approfondire l’utilizzo del computer a scopi compositivi.
E’ uno dei fondatori del gruppo Etnojazz Ailà. Nel 2006 costituisce insieme a Luigi Lai , Alberto Susnik e Matteo Marongiu il quartetto Arenara.
Costituisce nel 2009 insieme ad Alberto Susnik (chitarra) e Daniele Piga (Piano – Tastiere elettroniche) il Trio di improvvisazione libera “CoAtti Impuri”.
Nel dicembre 2010 registra il CD ARENARA del quartetto Arenara
Nel giugno 2012 consegue con il massimo dei voti e la lode la laurea in Etnomusicologia presso il Conservatorio di musica P.L. Palestrina di Cagliari.

MASSIMO ZANASI (performer – voce recitante)

Regista intermediale (Teatro Musica Poesia Video), performer e operatore culturale.
Giornalista pubblicista dal 1988.
Fondatore e Direttore Artistico dal 1984 della Associazione Culturale e Teatrale ARKA (H.C.E.), con sede in Assemini (CA).
Responsabile, nell’ambito della stessa associazione, dell’Archivio Pubblico Arti Musica e Spettacolo (APAMS) riconosciuto dalla Regione Autonoma della Sardegna dal 1993 e presente nelle pubblicazioni sulle Biblio-Mediateche d’Italia.
Direttore responsabile dei periodici “I Sardi” (I edizione) e “Vulcano”.
È stato co–iniziatore del Laboratorio di Ricerca sullo Spettacolo dell’Università di Cagliari.
Ha co–diretto i Cantieri dell’Arte e del Teatro del consorzio TeaMetropolis.

Dirige il Centro Poliartistico “SPAZIO ARKA” (Assemini, via Tevere 47) dove si realizzano spettacoli, rassegne teatrali e musicali, stages, laboratori, mostre, nonché rassegne video–cinematografiche tematiche e/o monografiche.
Dal gennaio 1999 al 2006 è stato consigliere nazionale della Fedic (Federazione Italiana CineClub).

Ours is a “work in progress ” .

Our play looks at the implicit rules used in the musical language during a performance devoid of cloth or temporal structure / harmonic pre- defined .
Accomplished through weekly sessions recorded (and subsequently analyzed ) during our explorations of the materials most diverse music . We use clichés and styles , and through the liquid properties of the musical materials we try to connect anything with anything else.
We will not dwell on the result to express aesthetic judgments , rather we simply take note of some obvious musical phenomena .
We want to emphasize that what primarily drives our work , it is not the pursuit of pleasing forms , but rather their balance and creating paths from time to time for us new ones.
A final consideration : it is generally believed to produce the music is the only musician , it is certainly true , but only as regards the production of sounds , not with regard to the production of ” music ” , which is not only sound, but also SENSE that comes from communication. For this reason, it is crucial the role of the listener. Without listening there is no music but there are only SOUNDS .

Alberto Susnik ( Guitar – composition )

He has worked with several bands prominent in the ‘ sphere of rock music , ethnic and ” contaminated ” , including Suonofficina ( current Sonos ) , Tomato Ketchup and Isdenora with Marcello Ledda . He has also collaborated with several artists on tour abroad and record productions . Among them : Elena Ledda in the field of traditional Sardinian music , with Jenny Sorrenti ( in a formation in which they appear among the other musicians Enzo Avitabile and Tony Cercola) , and in Paris with the Majid Soula Algerian singer-songwriter . He studied Composition and care of the arrangements of the group Isdenora .

Daniel Piga (Piano , Electronic Keyboards – composition )

He began his musical career as a pianist and keyboard player in Cagliari in the mid 70s. He works as a professional musician in various bands of the ‘ island (especially jazz bands ) . In the early 80s he joined the group Tomato Ketchup . Meanwhile, works as a musician in various initiatives of theater and dance.
Part of all ‘foreign to complete his musical studies at the Conservatory in Den Haag in the Netherlands.
Later she moved to England where he plays , teaches and collaborates with many British jazz musicians , then again in Melbourne in Australia and Sweden in Stockholm. Since the mid ‘ 90s began to compose using mostly’ synthesizers, sound samplers and sequencers / computer based . Paul Meredith ( guitar – composition )

Contribute to the creation of the musical group Cagliari Tomato Ketchup , which consists of the music . With the same group participates in the autumn of 85 to Zurich Jazz festival.
For a few years following the lessons of the Experimental Course of Composition of Maestro Franco Oppo at the Musical Conservatory of Cagliari.

MAXIMUM ZANASI ( performer – narrator )

Director intermedia ( Poetry Theatre Music Video) , performer and cultural worker .
A freelance journalist since 1988.
Founder and Artistic Director since 1984 of the Association of Cultural and Theatrical ARKA ( HCE ) , headquartered in Asselby (CA) .
Responsible , as part of the same association , Public Archives Music and Performing Arts ( APAMS ) recognized by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia from 1993 and in the publications on this Biblio – Media centers of Italy.
Director responsible for the periodic ” Sardinians ” ( first edition ) and ” Volcano .”
He was co – founder of the Laboratory for Research on the Performing Arts, University of Cagliari.
He co- directed the Shipyards of Art and Theatre of the consortium TeaMetropolis .
