I Softloud nascono alla fine del 2005 da un’idea del cantante e chitarrista Cesare Bogazzi e del bassista Alessandro Corrias. Esordiscono con un live nel marzo del 2006 e nello stesso mese pubblicano un EP omonimo di quattro pezzi.

La prima formazione comprende Daniele Ortu alla seconda chitarra e Andrea Siddu alla batteria. Dopo numerosi cambi di line-up e una serie di concerti, sia in elettrico sia unplugged, trovano stabilità con l’ingresso di Marco Caravagna (Koscenza Sporca, Alberto Sanna) alla batteria, che conferisce alla band un suono più rotondo e avvolgente, smaccatamente americano.

Nel maggio del 2009 pubblicano il loro primo album dal titolo A Place To Hide, che comprende dodici tracce registrate e mixate da Andrea Murgia presso l’H-Studio di Cagliari. La title track, l’esplosiva “Maybe I’m So Close” e la malinconica “L.” sono tra i pezzi migliori dell’album, mentre “Burn This Place”, estratta dal primo EP, viene riproposta in una nuova versione, arricchita dal piano di Federico Pisanu. I temi della fuga, della lontananza e della rinascita sono ricorrenti nei testi e il brano acustico “Fool” ne è l’emblema.

Nel 2010 Marco decide di lasciare il gruppo e nel giro di qualche mese si unisce il batterista e tastierista Gianmarco Mameli, con il quale si svolgono i lavori per il nuovo album Emotional Anatomy. Il disco, registrato e mixato dal produttore Giacomo Fiorenza (premio MEI 2011) all’Igloo Audio Factory di Correggio, vede la luce nel mese di aprile 2012. L’album si compone di undici tracce dalle quali emerge la ricerca da parte del gruppo di sonorità più crude e vintage.

Si tratta di un disco più coerente e omogeneo, caratterizzato dal grande lavoro di Gianmarco e Alessandro alla sezione ritmica; i testi di Cesare diventano più riflessivi e meno istintivi, le melodie sempre a metà strada tra il rock americano e la controparte britannica. Un mix che accompagna da sempre la band, così come la contrapposizione tra anima acustica ed elettrica, che tuttavia in questo disco è meno presente con l’eccezione della ballad “Before Anyone”.

Attualmente i Softloud sono impegnati nell’attività di promozione di “Emotional Anatomy”.

The Softloud born at the end of 2005, the brainchild of singer and guitarist and bassist Alessandro Cesare Bogazzi Corrias. With a live debut in March 2006 and in the same month publish a self-titled EP of four pieces.

The first training includes Daniele Ortu on second guitar and Andrea Siddu on drums. After several changes of line-up and a series of concerts, both in electrical equipment is unplugged, found stability with the arrival of Marco Caravagna (Koscenza Dirty, Alberto Sanna) to the battery, which gives the band a sound more rounded and enveloping, blatantly America.

In May 2009 they released their first album entitled A Place To Hide, which includes twelve tracks recorded and mixed by Andrea Murgia at the H-Studio of Cagliari. The title track, the explosive “Maybe I’m So Close” and the melancholic “L.” are among the best pieces on the album, while “Burn This Place”, extracted from the first EP, is revived in a new version, enriched by the plan of Frederick Pisanu. The themes of escape, the remoteness and rebirth are recurring lyrics and the acoustic track “Fool” is the emblem.

In 2010, Marco decided to leave the group and within a few months joins the drummer and keyboardist Gianmarco Mameli, with which the proceedings are conducted for the new album Emotional Anatomy. The album, recorded and mixed by producer Giacomo Fiorenza (MEI Award 2011) Igloo Audio Factory of Correggio, sees the light in April 2012. The album consists of eleven tracks from which emerged the research by the group sounds more raw and vintage.

It is a disc more coherent and homogeneous, characterized by the great work of Gianmarco Alexander and the rhythm section, the texts of Caesar become more reflective and less instinctive, the melodies always halfway between the American rock and British counterparts. A mix that has always accompanied the band, as well as the contrast between soul, acoustic and electric, however, that on this record is not present with the exception of the ballad “Before Anyone.”
