Lindsay Kemp, coreografo, attore, ballerino, regista e artista dalla personalità poliedrica arriva in Italia con “KEMP DANCES”, il nuovo spettacolo che verrà presentato al Teatro Comunale di Sassari, venerdì 23 maggio alle ore 21:00 (a Sassari anche l’allestimento per la prima mondiale) con il patrocinio del Comune di Sassari.
Negli anni ‘70 e ’80 Lindsay Kemp e la Lindsay Kemp Company hanno suscitato scalpore, meraviglia e scandalo in ogni parte del mondo, influenzando ovunque il modo di fare teatro. La magia degli spettacoli di Kemp ruota intorno al suo personalissimo carisma di interprete, qualsiasi ruolo lui abbia interpretato (donna, uomo, elfo, marionetta ecc…), ha sempre giocato con un incrocio di stili che mescolano il teatro musicale, il mimo, la danza, la tradizione e la sperimentazione.

“KEMP DANCES” è uno spettacolo fatto di invenzioni e reincarnazioni; nuove creazioni abbinate a rivisitazioni dei suoi pezzi classici: un mosaico spettacolare ed emozionante di personaggi e racconti fantastici. Kemp è accompagnato sul palco da quattro validissimi artisti che creano con lui uno show potente, suggestivo ed emozionante.

Lindsay Kemp , choreographer, actor, dancer , director and highly versatile artist arrives in Italy with ” KEMP DANCES ,” the new show that will be presented at the Teatro Comunale di Sassari , Friday, May 23 at 21:00 ( also in Sassari ‘ preparation for the world premiere ) with the patronage of the Municipality of Sassari.
In the 70s and 80s and Lindsay Kemp Lindsay Kemp Company have caused a stir , scandal and wonder in every part of the world , affecting anywhere the way of making theater . The magic of the performances of Kemp revolves around his personal charisma as a performer , he has played any role ( woman, man , elf, puppet etc …) , he always played with a blend of styles that blend musical theater , mime, dance , tradition and experimentation.
” KEMP DANCES ” is a show of inventions and reincarnations ; new creations combined with his reinterpretations of classic pieces : a mosaic of spectacular and exciting characters and fantastic stories . The show, eclectic and original, musically ranging from Verdi to the ’30s, and as usual, it is difficult to fit into a specific category.
After a first part with music by Stravinsky and four artists on stage, a second very diverse and tightened see Lindsay and the other alternation of Saint Saen and popular songs, with sound effects that refer to past wars.
A team of 5 great artists who for one hour and a half will provide a great show. Music, dance, mime, storytelling are just some of the features of the performance.
