Ha inaugurato venerdì 23 novembre 2012 nel Centro comunale d’arte e cultura Castello San Michele a Cagliari, la rassegna d’arte contemporanea Six Memos, realizzata in collaborazione con il Comune di Cagliari, l’Assessorato alla Cultura e il Consorzio Camù.

La manifestazione, curata da Erica Olmetto, aperta al pubblico dal 23 novembre 2012 al 13 gennaio 2013, nasce da un progetto di Daniele Ledda dedicato alle note e dibattute “Lezioni americane” di Italo Calvino. Inoltre per tutto l’arco del tempo della rassegna nel primo piano del Castello San Michele verrà inaugurata anche una mostra permanente degli artisti, tra cui verranno esposte anche delle installazioni video.

Il progetto Six Memos ha l’obiettivo di coinvolgere molteplici tipologie di espressione dell’arte contemporanea quali la musica, le arti visive, il teatro, dando vita ad un’unica sola rappresentazione, una struttura scenica solida e compatta ma anche dinamica e interattiva che consenta una reiterata fruizione dello spazio ospitante.

Sono ben sei gli appuntamenti nel corso dei quali gli artisti sono chiamati a partecipare attraverso i diversi linguaggi espressivi e la creazione di site-specific. I visitatori assisteranno alle “improvvisazioni sonore”: installazioni, suoni e azioni saranno indirizzati ad instaurare un dialogo col pubblico coinvolgendolo nelle performance che si intersecheranno nelle sei giornate evento della rassegna. Le prima delle sei esibizioni è prevista per il giorno dell’inaugurazione, venerdì 23 novembre, quando per l’apertura della manifestazione si assisterà agli interventi performativi a cura di Snake Platform e Federico Cozzucoli. Le altre esibizioni sono programmate per sabato 1 dicembre quando ci sarà l’intervento performativo di Snake Platform; venerdì 7 dicembre si potrà assistere alla performance teatrale di Francesca Falchi; venerdì 21 dicembre e venerdì 4 gennaio 2013 ritorna l’intervento performativo di Snake Platform; l’ultimo appuntamento è previsto per sabato 12 gennaio quando per la chiusura della manifestazione ci sarà una performance di tutti gli artisti partecipanti. Gli interventi, quindi, si ispireranno alle Lezioni Americane. Sei proposte per il prossimo millennio, il cui titolo originale è “Six Memos for the next Millennium”, un libro basato su di una serie di lezioni scritte da Italo Calvino nel 1985 per un ciclo di sei lezioni all’Università di Harvard, mai tenute da Calvino in quanto morì prima. A fare da guida saranno proprio le sei caratteristiche individuate e descritte da Calvino nei suoi tanto discussi appunti e interpretate spesso dalla critica come qualità riferite alla letteratura ma, in realtà, riscontrabili in qualunque aspetto della realtà contemporanea.

Nel primo piano del Castello San Michele una mostra permanente degli artisti, ispirati alla leggerezza, alla rapidità, all’esattezza, alla visibilità, alla molteplicità e alla consistenza, farà da sfondo ai sei appuntamenti dal 23 novembre al 13 gennaio 2013. Nel corso della rassegna saranno esposte anche le installazioni video di Silvio Giordano, Federico Cozzucoli, Maria Alba Dominguez, le opere video e fotografiche del gruppo Ellepluselle e progetto Askòs (Michele Mereu, Chiara Schirru), i diorami di Paolo Ollano, le installazioni di Daniele Ledda, le opere grafiche di Jorge Garcia, le nuove sperimentazioni di Veronica Gambula.

He inaugurated Friday, November 23, 2012 in the City Centre of Art and Culture Castello San Michele in Cagliari, the contemporary art exhibition Six Memos, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cagliari, Department of Culture and the Consortium Camu.

The exhibition, curated by Erica Olmetto open to the public from 23 November 2012 to 13 January 2013, is a project of Daniel Ledda devoted to notes and debated “Memos” by Italo Calvino. In addition, during the whole time of the exhibition on the first floor of the Castle of San Michele will open a permanent exhibition of the artists, including video installations will be on display also.

Six Memos The project aims to involve multiple types of expression of contemporary art such as music, visual arts, theater, creating one single representation, a scenic structure solid and compact but also dynamic and interactive allows a repeated use of space host.

Are six appointments during which artists are invited to participate through various forms of expression and the creation of site-specific. Visitors attend the “improvisations sound” installations, sound and action will be directed to establish a dialogue with the audience by involving them in the performance that will intersect the six days of the festival event. The first of six performances is scheduled for the opening day, Friday, November 23, when the opening of the event will witness the performative interventions by Snake Platform and Federico Cozzucoli. The other performances are scheduled for Saturday, December 1st when we will be performing the surgery Snake Platform; Friday, December 7th you can watch the theatrical performance of Francesca Falchi, Friday, December 21 and Friday, January 4, 2013 back surgery performative Snake Platform; the last meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 12 when the closure of the event there will be a performance of all participating artists. Interventions, therefore, will be modeled on American Lessons. Six Memos for the Next Millennium, whose original title is “Six Memos for the Next Millennium”, a book based on a series of lectures written by Italo Calvino in 1985 for a series of six lectures at Harvard, never held by Calvin because he died before. To act as a guide will be just the six characteristics identified and described by Calvin notes in his much-discussed and often interpreted by critics as quality related literature but, in fact, found in every aspect of contemporary reality.

In the first floor of the Castle of San Michele a permanent exhibition of artists inspired by the lightness, quickness, exactitude, visibility, the multiplicity and consistency will be the background to the six events from 23 November to 13 January 2013. During the event there will also be video installations by Silvio Giordano, Federico Cozzucoli, Alba Maria Dominguez, the video and photographic works of the project and ElleplusElle Askos (Michael Meredith, Chiara Schirru), dioramas of Paolo Ollano, installations of Daniel Ledda, the graphic works of Jorge Garcia, the new experiments Veronica Gambula.
