SIGNAL – PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL – SEARCH – CAGLIARI – NOVEMBER 28 TO DECEMBER 2

Seventh round of the festival dedicated to contemporary forms of expression:

Music, Dance, Theatre, and Art Workshop

To investigate the expressions of contemporary and experience the fusion between the arts with this lens back to Cagliari Signal – Performing Arts, now in its seventh edition. New for this year is to share the art direction and organization of the event, which features the associations TiConZero, SpazioDanza Riverrun and Performing Arts. Music, dance and theater: three languages that leave their specific territories and unite in common purpose to achieve a cross-practice workshops, performances and shows, linked by a single common thread: as a work of contemporary art interrogates and transforms the individual and collective perception of time.
The 2012 edition of Signal will stage musical performances, theatrical and dance for five days, from Wednesday, November 28 to Sunday, December 2. Scheduled every morning, in addition, the workshop “Heresy [black]”, for 15 artists (by reservation only) edited by Sineglossa for a research project in collaboration with Riverrun Performing Arts, which will debut in Cagliari in 2013.

In the days of the festival will also be presented the artistic Signal Open Art

The festival will host its programming even the last five rounds of AutunnoDanza, an exhibition dedicated to contemporary dance, which began Nov. 7 in Cagliari theater The Glass.

Innovative space chosen, the search, the underside of the Town Hall, made available by the city of Cagliari, ideal location because of its size and versatile due to its location in the heart of the city, able to inspire and encourage the artists creations site-specific dialogue with the environment.

The exhibition will be launched on November 28 to 20 with the opening of Signal Open Art: exhibition with photographs, sculptures, installations that reflect on the perception of time. Rebecca Stella, Blux, Claude Gazengel, Fabio Costantino Mace, Manu Invisible, Mauro Melis Silvia Taddei and the artists involved. From 29 November, also, Signal Open Art will enrich the video Sineglossa, “Heresy [black].”

Next, at 21, the show audio / visual “Passeio No Tejo” of Cagliari and Massimo Roberto Follesa gasole, instantaneous movement of human relations in modern society, the Japanese Butoh dance Gyohei Zaitsu, one of the artists most anticipated for this year , and the island collective of musicians improvising Impro.Sar.

The next day, Thursday, November 29, dancing with Sara Marasso Gabriele Capilli, the industrial sounds with the duo Brigade Stirner that will propose a reflection on the work of James Ballard, and closing the theatrical performance of the collective Venetian pathos.

Friday, November 30th from 20 “Pneuma” show for only ten spectators at a time (upon reservation) Sineglossa, this eclectic collective Signal for a creative residency in collaboration with Riverrun Performing Arts. A follow still dancing with Sara Marasso in a dialogue with the musician Adriano Orrù, and 22, the French musician Bérangère Maximin, electronic music tinged with melancholy and intimacy.

Saturday, December 1st from 21 in program will be offered again the performance “Pneuma”, from 22 scene Enrico Tedde company Blicke for the dance show “If I could still” on the music of Astor Piazzolla and George Tedder, followed by the music duo electronic or Zbeen Giancluca Favaron and Ennio Mazzon.

The last evening, Sunday, Dec. 2, beginning at 19, will stage the dance Francesca Foscarini, the live electronic Francesco Giomi, the performance of Noemi Medas, while the Catalan company of Vero Cendoya present a preview of the play “Sinfonia de quarto de baño “made in co-production with TiConZero.
