L’11 aprile del 1901 nasce ad Ivrea Adriano Olivetti, industriale ma anche intellettuale, urbanista, editore. Scomparso il 27 febbraio del 1960, è stato capace di abbinare le logiche e i successi dell’impresa ad un progetto sociale ancora oggi innovativo. Quello di Adriano Olivetti era un sogno industriale, che certamente mirava al successo e al profitto, ma anche un progetto sociale che implicava una nuova relazione tra imprenditore ed operaio, oltre ad un nuovo rapporto tra fabbrica e città.
Nel 1946, anno di profondo mutamento sociale, Adriano Olivetti fonda le edizioni di comunità, attraverso le quali mira alla contribuzione della ripresa culturale dell’Italia e de mondo. Il progetto di una società unita nella consapevolezza della centralità dei valori dello spirito e della cultura è ancora incompiuto e, oggi come allora, è urgente che le opportunità del progresso tecnologico siano indirizzate alla costruzione di un mondo materialmente più elevato e a misura d’uomo.
È proprio per l’attualità di questi temi che Malik, con “I libri aiutano a leggere il mondo”, ha scelto di dedicare l’intera serata di venerdì 25ottobre al genio di Adriano Olivetti attraverso tre diversi appuntamenti ripercorrendo gli aspetti principali dell’imprenditore di Ivrea nel contesto europeo di quegli anni, riportandoli all’attualità.

Si partirà alle 18 con “UNA SOCIETÀ A MISURA D’UOMO: ADRIANO OLIVETTI E IL PROGETTO DI COMUNITÀ” un incontro con Benaimino De’ Liguori Carino, attuale editore e direttore editoriale delle edizioni di comunità, delle quali ha rilanciato l’attività nel 2012 insieme alla fondazione Olivetti; Alessandro Fonti docente di storia dell’architettura e della pianificazione presso la facoltà di Alghero e Marco Peroni, sceneggiatore di BeccoGiallo

Alle 19 Beniamino De’Liguori Carino e Marco Peroni presenteranno i progetti editoriali delle Edizioni di Comunità e BeccoGiallo. Contestualmente verrà presentata la graphic novel “ADRIANO OLIVETTI: UN SECOLO TROPPO PRESTO”

Alle 20 le Voci Del Tempo, si esibiranno in “DIRECTION HOME – VIAGGIO NELL’ITALIA DI ADRIANO OLIVETTI” un singolare progetto nel panorama degli spettacoli teatrali costruiti con la musica. Marco Peroni, Mao, e Mario Congiu raccontano il mito di Adriano Olivetti senza venir meno al proprio format fatto di parole e canzoni. Un imprenditore illuminato che ha immaginato e costruito una comunità “concreta” in cui la fabbrica era il cuore pulsante, il luogo “bello” in grado di creare e distribuire ricchezza; una visione “sconcia” in anni di Guerra Fredda. Una vicenda umana ricca di emozione e curiosità, ma sopratutto di indicazioni per il presente.
