Garau” di Oristano, nell’ ambito della 39ª Stagione Concertistica 2013, l’Ente Concerti “Alba Pani Passino” ha il piacere di ospitare, per la prima volta in Sardegna, il concerto di Sarah Jane Morris, accompagnata da Tony Remy alla chitarra, Michael Rosen al sax.
Il Concerto è organizzato dall’Ente Concerti  “Alba Pani Passino” con il patrocinio della Fondazione Banco di Sardegna, della Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, del Ministero per i Beni e le Attività culturali e della Banca di Sassari.

“Lasciate a casa i preconcetti”. Così inizia la descrizione di un critico londinese della sensuale cantante-autrice Sarah Jane Morris che spazia dal rock al blues al jazz e al soul con un’estensione di quattro ottave che fa letteralmente venire i brividi.
Sarah-Jane Morris, una delle più raffinate e meno formali cantanti degli ultimi anni, sempre in bilico tra ossequio alla tradizione e desiderio di esplorare nuovi territori musicali, celebra il concetto di libertà usando il linguaggio che le è più congeniale, quello della musica, accostando ritmi jazz, rock e africani. Le canzoni che presenta fanno parte dell’album Where it hurts, che sono state scritte in collaborazione con Dominic Miller (da sempre al fianco di Sting).
