Salta il concerto di Mick Taylor a causa di un malore sopraggiunto in questi ultimi giorni. L’organizzazione del Rocce Rocce&Blues Festival ha appreso dal management che il grande chitarrista inglese non potrà per ora ripartire da New York, dove si trova attualmente in tour con i Rolling Stones, ma dovrà fermarsi per un periodo di riposo di almeno due settimane, ed evitare viaggi in aereo o intraprendere trasferte troppo impegnative. Taylor dovrà rimanere così fino alla fine del mese negli Stati Uniti.

Rimane invece confermata per sabato 22 dicembre alle ore 20,00 la ALL STARS BLUES BAND, la line-up di fama internazionale che accompagna Taylor nelle sue tournèe e molto attesa a Lanusei, con musicisti d’eccezione. La formazione stellare di musicisti che porta il segno del British blues e R&B britannico, pionieri del blues e session men di primo piano che hanno condiviso il palco con le figure più rilevanti dal panorama musicale inglese dagli anni ’60 ad oggi. La band, composta dai mostri sacri del blues mondiale come il mitico Zoot Money (uno dei pionieri del blues e R&B britannico da sempre considerato uno dei grandi dell’organo Hammond degli Anni ’60), Hamish Stuart (chitarrista, bassista e cantante di Glasgow, meglio conosciuto come uno dei membri più attivi della band di soul scozzese Average White Band che ha lavorato con Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan e David Sanborn), Kuma Harada, bassista professionista e produttore musicale che ha registrato, prodotto e suonato in tour con molti personaggi importanti tra cui Kate Bush, Mick Taylor, Van Morrison, Imai Miki e Hotei Tomoyasu) e Jeff Allen (celebre batterista scozzese, entrato negli East of Eden nel 1971 e dai primi anni ’80 collaboratore e session man di artisti del calibro di  Bonnie Tyler, Murray Head, John Martyn, Snowy White, Mick Taylor, Van Morrison).
Una vera chicca per gli appassionati della rassegna più importante d’Ogliastra che anche in questa speciale Winter’s Edition non manca l’appuntamento importante con il tradizionale festival blues e le prestigiose presenze di notorietà mondiale, per un “all-star blues concert” straordinario e irripetibile. Domenica 23 dicembre alle 20,00 sempre al Teatro Tonio Dei di Lanusei un appuntamento all’insegna della musica di qualità e del cabaret più esilarante: la bravura, la fantasia, la vitalità, l’originalità della Banda Osiris, 30 anni di vita in cui questi straordinari musicisti, attori, cantanti, mimi e ballerini continuano a sorprendere e a mantenere, sostenuti da un professionalità rigorosa, la stessa creatività e freschezza dei primi tempi tra senso della commedia, Beethoven e il mondo della canzone pop; Dario Vergassola, come la Banda Osiris anche lui ben noto agli “aficionados” del celebre programma televisivo condotto da Serena Dandini, con il suo show teatrale “Sparla con me” presentando al pubblico i momenti più esilaranti dei suoi tanti incontri nel salotto della celebre conduttrice romana.
L’apertura alle 18,00 è affidata alla musica dei Signor Palomar, la nuova band indie fondata alla fine del 2009 dal batterista e compositore Cristiano Sanna Martini (Elora, Tancaruja) che insieme ad Alice Marras (voce), Stefano “Menion” Ferrari (chitarre), Michele Sanna (chitarre) e Gianluca Piras (basso) raccoglie il meglio della tradizione italiana soprattutto quella ligure (Paoli, Tenco, Fossati) con il sound ora potente ed elettrico, ora morbidamente acustico e percussivo dei Radiohead e Jeff Buckley, fino agli Afterhours, Massive Attack, John Coltrane, e naturalmente ai brani originali come l’ultimo ep d’esordio “Comincia” uscito di recente solo su web e solo live con il singolo “Precipitando”.

Il Trenino Blues
Confermato anche il programma del Trenino Blues e il programma per il weekend a Lanusei già precedentemente annunciato. Una due giorni intensa con un pacchetto turistico allettante proposto dagli organizzatori, tra il blues leggendario della All Stars Blues Band, il rock di Alberto Sanna e dei Signor Palomar e la comicità esilarante di Dario Vergassola e della Banda Osiris, immersi tra le bellezze del territorio e l’ottima cucina ogliastrina. Ritorna così anche il Trenino Blues di Rocce Rosse&Blues e la suggestiva linea turistica su cui viaggia il caratteristico trenino verde con locomotiva a vapore e carrozza d’epoca. Un viaggio affascinante da Cagliari a Lanusei (il trenino partirà da Sadali) che offre l’opportunità di ammirare la natura incontaminata dell’entroterra ogliastrino da un punto di osservazione privilegiato lungo il versante del Gennargentu. ALL STARS BLUES BAND

Zoot Money, nato a Bournemouth col nome di George Bruno, da immigrati italiani, a soli 19 anni fonda la Big Roll Band, dove militano giovani promesse (il chitarrista Roger Collins, il bassista Johnny King, il batterista Peter Brooks e il sassofonista Kevin Drake). Ispirato da Jerry Lee Lewis e Ray Charles, è diventato un punto di riferimento nel panorama musicale vibrante di Bournemouth e Soho nel corso del 1960. La sua band negli anni sarà una sorta di combo dove accanto a lui si avvicenderanno nomi diversi, tra cui anche Andy Summers dei Police. Alcuni anni più tardi Zoot si trasferisce a Londra e viene invitato dal ‘padrino del blues’ britannico Alexis Korner, ad unirsi nei Blues Incorporated. insieme agli astri nascenti della scena blues e R&B di Soho, George Fame & The Blue Flames e the Animals, e diventa ben presto un personaggio chiave della “Swinging London” e un ospite fisso del celeberrimo Flamingo Club. Dal 1966 proseguirà alternando progetti solisti a esperienze con gruppi diversi (e persino ad una carriera da attore), con collaborazioni con una delle ultime formazioni degli Animals di Eric Burdon, Steve Marriott, Rocket 88, Snowy White, Mick Taylor, Spencer Davis, Geno Washington, Brian Joseph Friel, i Travelers duro, Widowmaker e Alan Price.

Hamish Stuart, dal 1972 al 1982, lavora con Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan e David Sanborn. Scrive l’hit del 1986 “If Your Heart Isn’t In It”, suonata dagli Atlantic Star, e numerosi brani per Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Jeffrey Osborne e George Benson. Nel 1989 entra a far parte della band di Paul McCartney, sia come chitarrista che bassista, suona nel disco di McCartney “Flowers in the Dirt” e affianca il cantante nei suoi tour mondiali del 1989 e del 1993. Dopo aver collaborato con numerosi artisti, tra cui George Benson, e Easy Pieces, nel  1999 registra il suo primo album solista “Sooner or Later” e tra il 2006 e il 2008 ha accompagnato i tour di Ringo Starr. Continua a suonare con musicisti in giro per il mondo, tra cui la band che accompagna Mick Taylor. Di recente si è fatto anche promotore del festival mOARE Music, che si tiene annualmente nel villaggio di Oare, nel Kent.

Kuma Harada, dal 1996 è diventato una delle figure di primo piano nella promozione di grass roots attraverso lo scambio culturale attraverso lo sport e la musica. In riconoscimento del suo eccezionale contributo alla comprensione interculturale, Kuma è stato invitato a Downing Street per incontrare il primo ministro Tony Blair e l’imperatore Akihito, in occasione della visita dell’imperatore nel Regno Unito nel giugno 1998.

Alla batteria Jeff Allen, scozzese, entrato negli East of Eden nel 1971 e dai primi anni ’80 collaboratore e session man di artisti del calibro di  Bonnie Tyler, Murray Head, John Martyn, Snowy White. Mick Taylor, Van Morrison. Oggi si divide tra gli impegni alla batteria e quelli della sua agenzia di concerti.

ALBERTO SANNA
Icona del rock sardo, cantautore e musicista poliedrico, dagli esordi degli anni ‘80 con i gruppi storici che hanno tracciato un percorso importante nella storia rock della Sardegna, Alberto Sanna non ha mai smesso di scrivere canzoni e di andare in giro a suonarle, facendo della musica il punto principe della sua vita, diventando una voce significativa dell’isola contemporanea. Proteso verso un continuo divenire artistico ed umano, è un artista che porta ovunque la sua carica musicale e umana, fatta di autentiche emozioni che trasmette dal vivo al suo pubblico nei suoi “neverending” concerti. Cagliaritano DOC Alberto è cresciuto suonando rock bianco, e blues, quello della sua pelle, nuda come la sua anima, nera e trasparente come la sua personalità. Un artista sincero che ha dedicato e dedica la sua vita alla sua passione, la musica, ma soprattutto il rock, né sardo, né anglosassone, solo il rock di Alberto Sanna. Un incredibile background musicale ha segnato la sua anima, rivelatasi implacabilmente blues.

I Signor Palomar sono la nuova creatura musicale di Cristiano Sanna Martini (Elora, Tancaruja). Nati alla fine del 2009, per tutto l’anno successivo si dedicano alla composizione di brani originali e nel 2011 entrano in studio di registrazione con il produttore Manuele “Max Stirner” Fusaroli (Giorgio Canali & Rossofuoco, Zen Circus, Le luci della centrale elettrica, Bugo, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Nobraino, Nada).  Completano così la realizzazione dell’ep d’esordio intitolato “Comincia”. Dal vivo in scaletta dei concerti brani originali e riletture molto personali di altri autori, dai Buckley e Radiohead fino a Tenco, Massive Attack e una versione insolita di My Favorite Things, di John Coltrane. L’Ep contiene quattro brani originali: “Precipitando” (già in rotazione radiofonica e sul Web con relativo videoclip diretto da MuccaLab e interpretato da Maria Loi, attrice di Bellas Mariposas diretto da Salvatore Mereu e tratto dal libro di Sergio Atzeni), “L’astronauta innamorato”, “Quando passi dentro di me” e “L’estate vuota”.

The Blues Train
Confirmed the program of Train Blues and the program for the weekend to Lanusei previously announced.
