Venerdì 29 novembre alle 18.30 Nuccio Franco sarà ospite con il romanzo Il sogno di Safiyya (Arkadia Editore), alla libreria Mieleamaro, in via Manno 88 a Cagliari. Insieme  a Franco interverrà lo scrittore Daniele Congiu.
Sabato 30 novembre  alle 18.30 l’autore, affiancato da Roberto Mura,  farà tappa ad Alghero ospite della rassegna Autunno letterario a Casa Manno, ospitata dal Museo Casa Manno in via Santa Barbara.

Il sogno di SafiyyaIl sogno di Safiyya prende il via da una Bosnia martoriata dalla guerra per condurci al villaggio di Nevè Shalom, un’oasi di pace dove musulmani, ebrei e cristiani convivono in perfetta armonia.
Tornato dai Balcani, abbandonato lo scenario truculento di Sarajevo, il reporter Jan deciderà di dare una svolta alla sua vita e convincere Safiyya – per lui esempio di amicizia, tolleranza e comprensione – a seguirlo nel villaggio di Nevè Shalom. Sarà questo il banco di prova per saggiare il loro sogno, quello di una terra in cui ogni essere umano è uguale e dove non si muore perché si appartiene alla fede sbagliata. Sarà qui che Safiyya incontrerà anche l’amore, Yoshua, un uomo dal passato misterioso, con il quale inizierà un difficile percorso, mettendo in gioco le certezze consolidate, i sentimenti più veri, alla ricerca di un futuro e di un destino che non li allontani definitivamente. Il valore della coesistenza, il rispetto dell’altro, l’integrazione, queste le direttrici del messaggio di questo romanzo dal grande impatto emotivo. Una storia semplice che attinge al vissuto dell’autore e in cui i sentimenti prevalogno su incomprensioni e intollerenza.

Nuccio Franco, giornalista, collabora con diverse testate occupandosi in particolar modo di Medio Oriente e di problemi legati all’integrazione. Primo classificato con il racconto Nevè Shalom al premio letterario “Firenze per le culture di Pace 2010”, sempre nel 2010 è risultato primo al premio letterario “Il convivio”, con il racconto Roulette; secondo al premio “Amici senza confini”, con il racconto Lettera a mio padre; terzo al premio “Opere d’autore” con il racconto Gerusalemme una città celeste. Ha ricevuto svariati altri riconoscimenti in campo letterario e giornalistico. È stato componente della giuria dei lettori al premio Campiello 2006. The dream of a dream of SafiyyaIl Safiyya takes away from a war-torn Bosnia to lead us to the village of Neve Shalom , an oasis of peace where Muslims, Jews and Christians live together in perfect harmony.

The value of coexistence , respect , integration, these are the lines of the message of this novel by the great emotional impact. A simple story that draws on the author lived and where feelings of misunderstanding and prevalogno intollerenza .

Nuccio Franco , journalist, collaborates with several magazines focusing particularly on the Middle East and integration problems . First place with the story Neve Shalom in the literary prize ” Florence for the cultures of Peace 2010 ,” also in 2010, was the first literary prize ” The feast” , with the story Roulette , and second prize at the ” Friends without Borders” , with the Letter to my father’s story , and third prize at the “Works of authorship” with the story of a heavenly city Jerusalem . He has received many other awards in the field of literature and journalism. He was a member of the jury of readers to the Campiello Prize 2006.
