“ L’ERETICO ”

“Eresia deriva dal greco haìresis, cioè scegliere. L’eretico quindi, era una persona che sceglieva dopo aver pensato alle diverse opzioni a disposizione. La vicenda narrata si svolge nella Firenze del 1497, a tre anni di distanza dalla morte, in circostanze misteriose, del celebre Pico della Mirandola, il filosofo e teologo su cui si poggiava la speranza di trovare finalmente un accordo tra le varie religioni in lotta che si contendono tra loro la fede dei credenti. In città ora imperversa il predicatore Gerolamo Savonarola, antitesi di Pico e oppositore della peccaminosa rinascita culturale: si sospetta che in realtà l’obiettivo di Savonarola sia nascondere il tremendo segreto che si celerebbe proprio tra le righe delle opere del defunto filosofo. Intanto, in Tibet, due monaci si preparano a partire alla volta dell’Europa, portando con sé un documento prezioso opera di Gesù, che con il nome di Issa avrebbe trascorso gli anni della sua giovinezza, quelli di cui il Nuovo Testamento non parla mai, a studiare le dottrine orientali…”
