FLAVIO SORGA
Ha pubblicato molti libri, vinto alcuni premi, fondato vari festival, lavorato per la TV. E’ nato a Uta e vive a Roma.
I libri: Diavoli di Nuraiò (Il Maestrale), Nuraghe beach – Breve guida alla Sardegna che non visiterete mai (Laterza) – Neropioggia, Sardinia Blues, L’amore a Londra e in altri luoghi, Il cuore dei briganti, Metropolis (tutti per Bompiani).
Un suo racconto è presente nell’antologia di scrittori italiani e statunitensi Il lato oscuro pubblicato da Einaudi (2006).
I premi: nel 2000, Premio Italo Calvino per inediti con la raccolta di racconti Diavoli di Nuraiò (Il Maestrale).
Nel 2003, Premio Grazia Deledda Giovani per il romanzo Neropioggia (Garzanti 2002).
Nel 2008, Premio Mondello città di Palermo per il romanzo Sardinia Blues (Bompiani).
Nell’ottobre 2009 ha vinto il Premio letterario Piero Chiara con la raccolta di racconti L’amore a Londra e in altri luoghi (Bompiani).
Nel 2010 finalista al Premio Rieti per il romanzo Il cuore dei briganti (Bompiani).
Nel 2003 ha rappresentato l’Italia al progetto Scritture Giovani del Festivaletteratura di Mantova.
Nel 2004, con Giovanni Peresson, ha realizzato lo spettacolo e il CD “Meridiani Inquieti”.
Nel febbraio 2007 gli è stata assegnata dall’Università di Vienna la donazione per giovani scrittori della Abraham Woursell Foundation di New York.
Nel 2010 ha vinto la borsa di studio della Commissione Europea Halma Network.
Negli scorsi anni ha tenuto un laboratorio di scrittura creativa presso la Facoltà di Lettere dell’Università di Sassari.
E´ stato uno degli ideatori del festival letterario di Gavoi. E’ direttore artistico del festival Settembre dei poeti di Seneghe e del Piccolo Festival della Leggerezza dell’Argentiera(Sassari).
Collabora con La Nuova Sardegna, L´Unità e la rivista “E” di Emergency.

THE DEFIANCE
I The Defiance nascono a Milis (OR) verso la fine del 2009 in seguito allo scioglimento dei vecchi FuoriOnda.
Sono formati da: Filippo Sanna alla voce, Luca Cadeddu alla chitarra e seconde voci, Edoardo Vaccargiu alla chitarra e seconde voci, Fabio “Spiridau” Manca al basso, Mirko Rossi alla batteria.
Nascono con l’intento di suonar musica insieme, con il semplice desiderio di divertirsi tra amici, interpretando inizialmente solo brani cover.
Sentono però subito l’esigenza di scrivere musica propria, e dal 2010, si mettono al lavoro del loro primo EP, uscito a Dicembre del 2012.
Il CD “From the ink of our skin” contiene 10 tracce di cui 7 brani registrati e mixati a Marrubiu presso “October Studio” di Filippo Porcu e i restanti 3 più i lavori di master sono stati curati a Cabras presso “Sinis Record” da parte di Andrea Cutri.
Quello che producono è il risultato delle varie influenze musicali dei componenti del gruppo, definendo appunto cosi il loro genere Alternative Rock.

KING HOWL QUARTET
King Howl. L’ululato è fondamentale. Il lamento, la passione, la forza inspiegabile del blues. Non una musica, non solo un sentimento, una sensazione che tinge ogni giornata di un colore diverso. Attraverso i King Howl il blues trova una nuova strada. I suoni della prima metà del novecento di gente come Son House, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf e Robert Johnson, vengono filtrati assumendo forme diverse, incorporando in essi gli stili dello stoner rock, del funk, dell’hardcore punk, del jazz, della psichedelia, in un crossover elaborato in maniera spontanea, il più possibile diretta. Il set di questo gruppo è un flusso di suono mai interrotto, che muta ad ogni brano parlando la lingua del blues con un accento sempre diverso.
Il quartetto (i cui componenti provengono da diverse band come Giannies, Antagonista Quintet, Pirina Scream, Super Oil 69, Thee Oops), dopo la pubblicazione del primo “King Howl EP” ed un anno denso di concerti in giro per l’Italia (alcuni di supporto a Kamikaze Queens, King Salami, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Kina, Uoki Toki, Aucan), è pronto per presentare la prima prova sulla lunga distanza, un disco di 11 brani dove i King Howl danno prova di un originale songwriting accostando la migliore tradizione blues a ritmiche e progressioni sempre diverse, caratterizzate da una pesante spinta sonora sempre più rivolta a suoni stoner rock. Un percorso che si snoda tra 8 inediti e 3 vecchi blues completamente reinterpretati e che ha come come padrino d’eccezione il bluesman Francesco Piu, ospite in “Hard Time Killing Floor”. Dai tempi crossover dell’opener “Mornin’” al boogie psicotico della conclusiva “Wolfman’s Calling” passando per la Kyussiana “My Lord” o per le atmosfere da fumoso Juke Joint di “Nocturne”: un disco che puzza di live, da suonare a volume altissimo.

SIKITIKIS
I Sikitikis si formano a Cagliari nel 2000 con l’intento di confrontarsi con la musica da sonorizzazione del cinema degli anni settanta, in particolare del genere poliziottesco. Nei primi anni di attività, si fanno notare in Sardegna per l’intensità dei live, fino alla registrazione del brano Il modo migliore, inserito nella compilation K-Factor 4 Tones distribuita in allegato al magazine Rock.it. Tra il 2002 e il 2003 rappresentano il progetto K-Factor al Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti di Faenza e collezionano alcune apparizioni in festival musicali, tra cui il Tora! Tora! e un opening per i Subsonica.
Prima dell’uscita del primo disco, nel 2004, la loro abilità nella reinterpretazione delle colonne sonore d’autore viene notata dal critico cinematografico Mario Sesti che li invita a partecipare all’Umbria Film Festival, dove omaggiano l’attore Gianmaria Volonté e il regista Elio Petri con una sonorizzazione il cui alto spessore sarà premiato con una replica al teatro Ambra Jovinelli di Roma, durante la rassegna Sguardo Ribelle, come unico contributo musicale in occasione del decennale dalla morte di Volontè. Nel 2004 si dedicano al completamento del disco d’esordio. L’album d’esordio è anche la prima produzione dell’etichetta discografica indipendente Casasonica, e si chiama Fuga dal deserto del Tiki (2005). Il disco è prodotto da Ale Bavo e mixato da Max Casacci (chitarrista dei Subsonica).
La stessa casa discografica ha prodotto il loro secondo disco, B (2008), con il quale il gruppo ha rinunciato alla distribuzione tradizionale, tirandosi fuori dai normali circuiti commerciali, puntando sulle vendite on-line e quelle dirette nei concerti, aggirando i problemi di produzione legati alla crisi del mercato musicale e proponendo un prezzo popolare. Hanno partecipato ad importanti festival di musica indipendente quali Tora! Tora!, Rock Tv Day, Assorock, Giù La Testa, Independent Day.
Il 27 novembre 2005 viene loro consegnato il premio M.E.I. 2005/2006 come “rivelazione dell’anno” nella categoria “indie-rock”. Tra il 2005 e il 2006, con un tour di ottanta date, i Sikitikis calcano i palchi di tutta Italia, esprimendo la propria attitudine rock nella dimensione a loro più congeniale, il live. Sempre nel 2006, suggellano il legame col cinema, componendo la colonna sonora del film Jimmy della collina, con la regia di Enrico Pau (nelle sale a marzo 2008), e con la sonorizzazione del film La decima vittima, in collaborazione con l’Hiroshima Mon Amour di Torino.
Nel 2008 esce B – il mondo è una giungla per chi non vede al di là degli alberi; il gruppo, supportato da Casasonica, decide di saltare la distribuzione tradizionale ed affidarsi alla diffusione diretta dei dischi ai concerti e per corrispondenza. Grazie a questo salto di filiera, B è uscito al prezzo di 6 euro. Segue un tour di 60 appuntamenti in tutta Italia. I Sikitikis diventano una delle realtà musicali più attive nel panorama indipendente nazionale e vengono per la prima volta invitati al MIAMI di Milano e all’ALTER01 di Roma, i festival più rappresentativi nella musica indie italiana in quegli anni.
Nel 2009 l’ultima collaborazione con l’etichetta torinese con la realizzazione della cover di Cuore Matto per il film Cosmonauta di Susanna Nicchiarelli per la produzione di Fandango. Il film ha vinto la 66ª edizione della Mostra internazionale d’arte cinematografica di Venezia, nella sezione “Controcampo Italiano”. Con la chiusura delle attività di Casasonica, i Sikitikis pensano ad affrontare un percorso in totale indipendenza. È fondamentale l’incontro col produttore ferrarese Manuele Fusaroli, già produttore di Bugo, Nada, Le Luci della Centrale Elettrica, Giorgio Canali, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Zen Circus e altri.
Nel 2010 esce Dischi fuori moda. L’album, realizzato in coproduzione con Manuele Fusaroli, ottiene straordinari riscontri di critica e pubblico e attira l’attenzione di Caterina Caselli.
Nel marzo 2011 i Sikitikis firmano un contratto editoriale con la Sugar Music. Nello stesso anno intraprendono un interessante progetto che chiamano Le belle cose: si tratta di un “disco-anti-disco” (per usare le parole della band stessa), un progetto che nasce e si sviluppa sul web, attraverso la condivisione di canzoni e video inediti. Nel 2012 il progetto assume i contorni di un vero e proprio album, Le belle cose appunto, registrato tra lo Sleepwalkers studio di Guspini (MD) in Sardegna e il Natural Head Quarter di Ferrara, sempre in coproduzione con Manuele “Max Stirner” Fusaroli e masterizzato da Sean Magee agli Abbey Road Studios di Londra. Il disco viene lanciato in free download attraverso la collaborazione col portale musicale italiano Rockit.it.

E’ da più di 20 anni che suona come dj nella maggior parte dei locali sassaresi e della provincia ,e sporadicamente nel resto della sardegna.
è stato il primo dj a proporre e promuovere la musica rock, reggae, patchanka, drum’n’bass nella provincia, ha lavorato nei più importanti locali alternativi della zona tra cui :
tris blu, calabona, zanzibar, kalos,louisiana, amnesy, memorabilia, scala ruja, da goffredo, il cavallo pazzo, il prince, area mito, skrittiorè, l’arca, madriguera, urlo, animal house, la dolce vita, linea notturna, porto ferro surf camp, governo provvisorio, byblos, tumbao.
Sono celebri le sue feste in spiaggia e gli afroreggae party organizzati con gekko. THE DEFIANCE
The The Defiance born in Milis (OR) towards the end of 2009 following the dissolution of the old Fuorionda.
They consist of: Filippo Sanna on vocals, Luke Cadeddu on guitar and backing vocals, Edward Vaccargiu on guitar and backing vocals, Fabio “Spiridau” missing on bass, Mirko Rossi on drums.
Born with the intention of music sounds perfectly together, with the simple desire to have fun with friends, playing initially only cover songs.
But now feel the need to write their own music, and in 2010, went to work of their first EP, released in December of 2012.

What we produce is the result of various musical influences of the band members, defining precisely so their genre Alternative Rock.

KING HOWL QUARTET
Howl King. The howling is crucial. The lament, the passion, the inexplicable force of the blues. Not music, not just a feeling, a feeling that colors every day a different color. Through the blues Howl King finds a new way. The sounds of the first half of the twentieth century people like Son House, Muddy Waters, Howlin ‘Wolf and Robert Johnson, are filtered in its diverse forms, incorporating in them the styles of stoner rock, funk, hardcore punk, jazz, psychedelia, in a crossover developed spontaneously, as directly as possible. The set of this group is an unbroken stream of sound that changes with every song speaking the language of the blues with an accent always different.
The quartet (whose members come from different bands like Giannies, antagonist Quintet, Pirina Scream, Super Oil 69, Thee Oops), after the publication of the first “King Howl EP” and a year full of concerts around Italy ( some support to Kamikaze Queens, King Salami, Dropkick Murphys, Kina, Uoki Toki, Aucan), is ready to present the first evidence for the long haul, a disc of 11 tracks where the King Howl give proof of an original songwriting combining the best traditional blues rhythms and progressions are always different, characterized by a heavy push sound increasingly turned to stoner rock sounds. A path that winds between 8 new and 3 old blues and it has completely reinterpreted as as Honorary Chair of the bluesman Francesco Piu, a guest on “Hard Time Killing Floor”. From the time dell’opener crossover “Mornin ‘” to the boogie psychotic conclusive “Wolfman’s Calling” through the Kyussiana “My Lord” or the smoky atmosphere of Juke Joint of “Nocturne”: a record that reeks of live, to play in high volume.

Sikitikis
The Sikitikis are formed in Cagliari in 2000 with the intent to confront the music sound of the cinema of the seventies, particularly gender poliziottesco. In the early years, are noted in Sardinia for the intensity of live, up to the recording of the song The best way, included in the compilation K-Factor 4 Tones distributed attached to the magazine Rock.it. Between 2002 and 2003 represent the project K-Factor at the Meeting of Independent Labels in Faenza and collect a few appearances in music festivals, including the Tora! Tora! and an opening for Subsonica.
