Con il termine cinema astratto o film astratto ci si riferisce ad una tendenza del cinema sperimentale che ebbe fra i primi luoghi di riflessione e definizione le avanguardie del cinema tedesco degli anni Venti del XX secolo, indirizzandosi verso l’obiettivo di creare un “cinema puro”, svincolato da qualsiasi soggetto riconoscibile o storia. Il Piccolo Ensemble Elettroacustico, costituito da Elia Casu alla chitarra ed elettronica, Matteo Muntoni al basso e Stefano Vacca alle percussioni, interpreta musicalmente queste perle cinematografiche cariche di modernità dando loro nuova vita e proiettandole nei giorni nostri, attraverso un’interpretazione musicale in chiave rock/jazz sperimentale, caratterizzata da un magma sonoro in continuo divenire, fatto di serrate concatenazioni ritmiche e potenti bagliori sonori, attese e suoni intimisti, improvvisazione e scrittura.

” MODERN TIMES ” Small Electroacoustic Ensemble @ Jazz in WHITE

This Thursday, March 27th , silence in the room : the white lounge bar on Via Sonnino 119 will turn in the parterre of a cinema of the past, with the show ‘ Modern Times ‘, organized by the Small Electroacoustic Ensemble . Something quite unique compared to what has been proposed by White in Jazz Festival coordinated by Manuela Mameli . A roundup of the musical soundtrack – performed live – abstract films of the early twentieth century , with the help of film screenings. An event very special and highly unusual , we invite you to not lose .

The term abstract cinema or movie abstract refers to a tendency of experimental cinema that was among the first places of reflection and definition of the avant-garde German cinema of the twenties of the twentieth century, moving toward the goal of creating a ” pure cinema , ” free from any recognizable subject or story. The Little Electroacoustic Ensemble , consisting of Elia Casu on guitar and electronics, Matteo Muntoni on the bass and percussion Stefano Vacca , musically interprets these pearls film charges of modernity giving them new life and projecting them in the present day, through a musical interpretation in a rock / experimental jazz , characterized by a constantly evolving sound magma , made up of chains tight rhythmic sound and powerful flares , expectations and intimate sounds , improvisation and writing.
