PECHAKUCHA NIGHT – CAGLIARI – FRIDAY OCTOBER 26
The first event Pecha Kucha of Sardinia under Alig’Art
Lands in Sardinia marathon of creativity made in Japan: Pecha Kucha Night, an evening of fun to learn about the projects of your city with an original format and very precise.
The idea was born in Tokyo in 2003, now involves 430 cities around the world, who decided to turn a meeting place, compared to all the young people who, at different levels, working in the creative industries: design, architects, graphic designers, photographers, as well as artists, designers, writers, cartoonists, musicians, film makers, professionals who deal with communication or publishing … well, anyone with an idea, a passion or a creative project and want to share it and make it known!
The objective of Pecha Kucha is to keep presentations concise as possible, the level of interest always high and to have presenters who share their ideas in the course of one night. All participants are therefore required to follow a strict format: 20 images x 20 seconds = 6 ’40” every creative has provided a power point with 20 pictures and 20 seconds for each image. In total there are then six minutes and 40 seconds each!
The first Pecha Kucha evening Cagliari is proposed as an event in the event and will be housed in Alig’Art, a festival dedicated to sustainability, and this year focuses on the world of sustainable living.
The partners in the project, the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Cagliari.
We are waiting for Friday, October 26, at 20:20, at the Cloister of the Faculty of Architecture in Via Santa Croce 59, for the first Pecha Kucha Night in Cagliari!
What is PechaKucha Night:
PKN is an initiative conceived and patented in 2003 in Tokyo by Klein Dytham Architecture (KDa) and which has to date involved 519 cities around the world, not for profit, but the goal of creating a meeting point where you give room for creativity in the city, involving creative and ordinary citizens, companies and institutions and encouraging possible collaboration born from the shared experience. The formula of presentation is that of format20x20: each participant is allowed to show 20 slides for 20 seconds each, for a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds per participant. The subject of the presentation can be a building, a painting, a piece of furniture, a movie, a book, a communication campaign, a new fashion collection, a piece or interesting idea you want to share. PKN offers the audience the experience of witnessing, within a single evening, the diverse range of experiences and creative initiatives that develop in Cagliari and in other cities, and offers creative opportunity to introduce their work and their ideas to the community of reference as to the layman, in an ‘immersive and informal atmosphere.
