Nuovo appuntamento con la musica jazz della mini rassegna Alkestis 31 giovedì di musica a teatro organizzata dall’Unione Alkestis Calumet in collaborazione con la Billy Sechi Eventi.
Alle ore 21.00 di giovedì 5 Dicembre 2013, sul palco del Teatro Alkestis di Cagliari (via Loru 31), si esibirà il PAOLO CARRUS NEW ENSEMBLE con Paolo Carrus (pianoforte), Corrado Salis  (basso), Alessandro Garau (batteria), Joe Murgia (sax alto), Dario Pirodda (sax alto), Andrea Morelli (sax tenore), Walter Alberton (sax tenore) e Francesco Sangiovanni (sax baritono).

Il progetto originale di PAOLO CARRUS ENSEMBLE nasce dall’incontro di musicisti attivi nel panorama isolano incentrato sui brani composti da Paolo Carrus e ispirati a vari stilemi di carattere orchestrale. L’amplificazione armonica prodotta dai fiati sottolinea la melodia: il canto dei sax contrapposto all’andamento della sezione ritmica espone i temi principali che conducono ai controtemi armonizzati passando per interventi solistici interconnessi. Il suono sinuoso del solista interrompe a tratti i tappeti soffici dei background riconducendo l’insieme alla guida degli special. Un’esperienza di coesione dove nessuno si sente solo e non viene mai meno l’armonia continua del suono orchestrale. L’ensemble esplora territori musicali aperti a diversi stili e ritmi con una costante coesione sonora. L’orchestra avvolge ogni musicista e lo accompagna in temi ispirati a ciò che emerge dal magma musicale: è un pezzo del mondo che viviamo.

Il  nome Alkestis31 trae ispirazione dallo STUDIO54 di New York (1977), locale allestito all’interno di un teatro e  famoso per le sue trasgressioni, ma soprattutto luogo dove le etichette sociali  venivano a non contare più nulla, dove tutti potevano essere protagonisti.
Questo è l’obiettivo principale della rassegna: aprire lo spazio di via Loru affinché diventi, sempre di più, luogo dove il pubblico si senta partecipe e protagonista di ogni evento.
Per questo progetto l’Unione Alkestis Calumet collabora con Ignazio Sechi per la Billy Sechi Eventi, che cura la direzione artistica del progetto, proponendo ogni giovedì i più importanti artisti di musica jazz del panorama regionale e nazionale.
Un’ulteriore collaborazione sarà quella con Stefano Lallai, gestore del locale estivo CAYO LOCO,  che si occuperà della direzione dell’aspetto conviviale delle serate.

At 21:00 on Thursday, December 5, 2013 , at the Teatro Alkestis Cagliari (via Loru 31) , will perform the CARRUS PAUL NEW ENSEMBLE with Paul Carrus (piano), Corrado Salis (bass), Alessandro Garau (drums ), Joe Murgia (alto sax ), Dario Pirodda (alto sax ), Andrea Morelli ( tenor sax) , Walter Alberton ( tenor sax) and Francesco Sangiovanni ( baritone sax ) .

The original project by PAOLO ENSEMBLE CARRUS was born from musicians active in the scene isolate focused on songs composed by Paolo Carrus and inspired by various styles of orchestral character . The amplification produced by wind stresses the harmonic melody of the song sax as opposed to the performance of the rhythm section sets out the main issues that lead to controtemi through harmonized solos interconnected. The sound of the sinuous solo stops at times soft carpeting of the background brought back together at the head of the special. An experience of cohesion where no one feels alone and never fails harmony continuous orchestral sound . The ensemble explores musical territories open to different styles and rhythms with a constant sound cohesion . The orchestra envelops every musician and accompanies him on themes inspired by what emerges from the magma musical : it is a piece of the world in which we live .

The name is inspired by STUDIO54 Alkestis31 New York (1977), housed in a local theater and famous for his transgressions, but above all a place where social labels were not to count anything, where they could all be protagonists.
This is the main objective of the exhibition : open space via Loru so that they become , increasingly , a place where the public feels participatory and protagonist of each event.
For this project , the Union Alkestis Calumet collaborates with Ignazio Sechi for Billy Sechi Events, who is the art director of the project , offering every Thursday of the most important jazz artists of regional and national scenario .
Further collaboration will be the one with Stephen Lallai , manager of the local summer Cayo LOCO , which will handle the direction the appearance of convivial evenings .
