EGG concerti è orgogliosa di portare in Sardegna la Storia, l’attualità, la punta di diamante della scena sperimentale mondiale: gli americani ONEIDA!
La band sarà in Europa per il loro 15 YEARS EUROPEAN TOUR, in Italia faranno solo 4 date ( Milano-Ravenna-Roma-Cagliari) e Cagliari è tra le poche fortunate!
Per l’occasione la band presenterà il nuovo album “A List of Burning Mountains” uscito nel novembre 2012 per l’etichetta Jagjaguwar .

Approfittate per godere di una band incredibile, sono occasioni che, purtroppo, in Sardegna non capitano spesso.

ONEIDA (U.S.A.)

Protagonisti principali della nuova ondata di Brooklyn dei primi anni 2000 – insieme a band del calibro di Liars, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs – gli Oneida rappresentano il punto di riferimento della scena sperimentale americana, ma non solo.
Nati alla fine degli anni 90, a poco a poco hanno saputo meritarsi la gloria, soprattutto grazie alla furia dei loro live!
Autori ad oggi di 11 dischi, gli ONEIDA hanno messo a punto in modo chiaro il loro suono e la loro attitudine: garage, psichedelia, kraut-rock, hard e noise, aperture pop mediate da un gusto del tutto imprevedibile, sempre aperto alle nuove suggestioni e contaminazioni.

“….hanno resuscitato la violenza liberatoria del garage-rock dei 60, rimescolandola con acidi trip psichedelici, detonazioni hard/stoner-rock, germi di wave sintetica ed effervescenze kraut. E’ musica che schiuma un’elettronica ossessiva e metallica, in cui al basso sono riservati pattern elementari e ripetitivi, mentre le chitarre imperversano, tra accenni di garage e noise, e la batteria viene lanciata in esplosioni di violenza allo stato brado. Alla voce è affidato il compito di riflettere in uno specchio deformante questa musica, già di per sé non univoca: distante, distorta, filtrata in vari modi, spesso cantilenante in maniera demenziale. Una voce che rappresenta anch’essa, a modo suo, il Dna di questa band, che ha iniziato a suonare nei magazzini abbandonati di Brooklyn e non ha lasciato dietro le serrande l’energia, ma fa i conti con il fatto che, negli anni Duemila, il background di un musicista dev’essere sempre più stratificato ed è normale trovare nello scaffale di casa affiancati, MC5 e Suicide, o i Faust e i Kyuss….”

Main protagonists of the new wave of Brooklyn in the early 2000s – along with bands like Liars, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Oneida represent the reference point of the American experimental scene, but not only.
Born in the late 90s, gradually were able to gain their glory, especially with the fury of their live!
Authors today of 11 disks, ONEIDA have developed clearly their sound and their attitude: garage, psych, kraut-rock, hard and noise, pop openings mediated by a taste of the unpredictable, always open to new suggestions and contamination.

“…. Have resurrected the violence garage-rock release of the 60, rimescolandola acid trip psychedelic explosions hard / stoner-rock wave synthetic seeds of effervescence and kraut. E ‘music obsessive foam electronics and metal where the bass are reserved pattern elementary and repetitive, while the guitars rage, including hints of garage and noise, and the battery is thrown into violent outbursts in the wild.
