NUOVE TIPOLOGIE DI RITRATTO – VAMP – EXMA’ – 10 MAGGIO -2 GIUGNONEW TYPES OF PORTRAIT – VAMP – EXMA ‘- CAGLIARI – MAY 10 TO JUNE 2

Venerdì 10 maggio alle ore 18.30 al Centro Comunale d’Arte e Cultura Exmà di Cagliari inaugura il quinto ciclo espositivo della rassegna d’arte contemporanea Vamp, curata da Giacomo Pisano che sarà visitabile sino al 2 giugno. Nella sala Terrazze sarà allestita la colletiva  Nuove tipologie di Ritratto, mentre la sala Torretta ospiterà un progetto speciale Hic et Nunc: ritratti nell’era di Instagram: una proiezione di foto di fotografi amatoriali Instagram.

La sera dell’inaugurazione sarà allestita una postazione photo express a cura di Fabrizio Deidda che, con una Polaroid ritrarrà i presenti alla serata.

Sono 15 gli artisti protagonisti della collettiva fotografica, ognuno con il suo background che spazia dal giornalismo al reportage, che hanno realizzato un ritratto artistico interpretando il concept della mostra. Negli scatti è evidente il senso di profonda solitudine dell’uomo di oggi, la sua vita invasa dai social network che non ha fatto altro che moltiplicare le vie per farlo sentire isolato. Il ritratto è in fotografia ciò che per la matematica sono i numeri: la base. Da sempre i fotografi hanno tentato di intrappolare l’essenza delle persone nel ritratto, dapprima immortalando uno status sociale, poi virando sul familiare e infine entrando nella sfera del personale. Guardare ritratti degli anni ’60, ’70, ’80 può sembrare nostalgico per alcuni ma per altri è un modo di confrontare tipologie, tecniche, ambizioni. Un gioco quasi antropologico che narra chi siamo stati, i luoghi che abbiamo visitato, magari cosa abbiamo sognato per noi stessi. Ma se dovessimo raccontare il presente, consegnare al futuro l’uomo contemporaneo, cosa sceglieremmo di rappresentare? Come interpreteremmo l’intricata vita di oggi fatta di social network, lavoro precario, edonismo smisurato? Come far confluire in un solo scatto le mille sfaccettature dell’oggi restituendo un’immagine coerente dell’umanità nel terzo millennio?” – afferma il curatore Giacomo Pisano. “Nuove Tipologie di Ritratto ha chiesto ad alcuni fotografi di interrogarsi sul tema e riassumerlo in uno scatto. Un’unica fotografia in grado di consegnarci l’idea di contemporaneità, individuando nel soggetto scelto le caratteristiche evidenti del nostro percorso passato, la complessità del presente, la proiezione verso il futuro.
