Dopo vent’anni (nel 1993 la prima rappresentazione) “Nostra Signora dei Fiori”, lo spettacolo di Francisco Camacho, grande creatore e interprete della danza internazionale, conserva ancora intatte tutte le qualità che hanno reso questo spettacolo una delle opere di riferimento del Danza Contemporanea portoghese. Oltre trenta infatti le repliche in America, Europa e Portogallo. L’opera rimane ferma per più anni, finché nel 2010 Francisco Camacho decide di rivisitare la creazione attraverso la residenza artistica presso lo spazio teatrale T.off di Cagliari.

Ecco dunque la nuova edizione di questo storico spettacolo inaugurare la rassegna di danza dell’associazione Tersicorea 2013, diretta da Simonetta Pusceddu, proprio a Cagliari, in prima nazionale, venerdì 1 e sabato 2 marzo alle ore 21:00 allo spazio T.Off di via Sauro 6. Prodotta dalla compagnia portoghese Eira, “Nostra Signora dei Fiori” testimonia l’eccellenza di uno degli interpreti più importanti della generazione contemporanea. Il lavoro è caratterizzato per intensità dei sentimenti e per l’esaltazione quasi religiosa, attraverso l’umorismo e l’ironia.

La musica medievale diretta da Jordi Savall contribuisce in maniera determinante alla bellezza che respira lo spettacolo, così come la plasticità dei costumi simbolici e versatili, incorniciati da un delicato design di luci.

Francisco Camacho ha studiato danza alla scuola di Companhia Nacional de Bailado e al Ballet Gulbenkian. Si è perfezionato a New York, allo Studio di Merce Cunningham e al Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Ha danzato con molti coreografi in Portogallo e a New York, in Europa e Canada.

After twenty years (in 1993 the first performance) “Our Lady of the Flowers”, the spectacle of Francisco Camacho, great creator and performer of international dance, still preserves all the qualities that have made this show one of the reference works of the Dance contemporary Portuguese. In fact, over thirty replies in America, Europe and Portugal. The work is left idle for several years, until in 2010, Francisco Camacho decided to revisit creation through artist residency at the theater space T.off of Cagliari.

Here is the new edition of this historic show inaugurate the dance festival association Tersicorea 2013, directed by Simonetta Pusceddu, just in Cagliari, the first national, Friday 1 and Saturday, March 2 at 21:00 of the space T.off by Sauro 6. Produced by the Portuguese company Eira, “Our Lady of the Flowers” testifies to the excellence of one of the most important interpreters of the contemporary generation. The work is characterized by intensity of feeling and the almost religious exaltation, through humor and irony.

Medieval Music directed by Jordi Savall makes a significant contribution to the beauty that exudes the show, as well as the plasticity of symbolic costumes and versatile, framed by a delicate lighting design.

Francisco Camacho studied dance at the School of Companhia Nacional de Bailado and Ballet Gulbenkian. He furthered his studies in New York at the Merce Cunningham Studio and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. He has danced with many choreographers in Portugal and in New York, Europe and Canada.
