NORME PER L’INGRESSO NEGLI STATI UNITI PER TURISMORULES FOR ENTRY IN THE UNITED STATES FOR TOURISM

Per tutti coloro che stanno per partire negli Stati Uniti per le prossime vacanze natalizie o per Capodanno, ricordiamo le regole per l’ingresso negli States.

A partire dal 12 gennaio 2009 coloro i quali intendono recarsi negli Stati Uniti usufruendo del Visa Waiver Program, che consente di viaggiare senza il visto, dovranno richiedere un’autorizzazione al viaggio elettronica, (ESTA -Electronic System for Travel Authorization) prima di salire a bordo del mezzo di trasporto, aereo o navale, in rotta verso gli Stati Uniti.

Per recarsi negli Stati Uniti d’America senza necessità di visto, usufruendo del programma “Visa Waiver Program – Viaggio senza Visto”, sono validi i seguenti passaporti:

passaporto con microchip elettronico inserito nella copertina, unico tipo di passaporto rilasciato in Italia dal 26 ottobre 2006;
passaporto a lettura ottica rilasciato prima del 26 ottobre 2005 e se, qualora rinnovato dopo i 5 anni, il rinnovo è avvenuto prima di tale data;
passaporto con foto digitale rilasciato fra il 26 ottobre 2005 e il 26 ottobre 2006.

Per usufruire del programma “Visa Waiver Program” (Viaggio senza visto) è necessario:

viaggiare esclusivamente per affari e/o per turismo
rimanere negli Stati Uniti non più di 90 giorni
possedere un biglietto di ritorno.

In mancanza anche di uno dei requisiti elencati, o di tipo diverso di passaporto, è necessario richiedere il visto.

La mancata partenza dagli U.S.A. entro i 90 giorni, comprometterà la possibilità di usare nuovamente il programma.

I minori per benificiare del Visa Waiver Program devono essere in possesso di passaporto individuale.

Durante il volo, prima dello sbarco, ci sarà da compilare un nuovo foglio con un questionario di domande (a cui dovete rispondere tutti no!), dove si dovrà indicare precisamente il numero del volo, la compagnia aerea con la quale si vola, l’aeroporto di partenza e d’arrivo e l’indirizzo di residenza della prima notte negli Stati Uniti.
