NEL 2015 NASCE LA METROPOLITANA LEGGERA DI CAGLIARI: AL VIA LA RETE REPUBBLICA-MATTEOTTIIN 2015 BORN THE LIGHT METRO CAGLIARI: START THE LINE REPUBBLICA-MATTEOTTI

Chi si ricorda del vecchio e suggestivo tram che attraversava via Roma potrà immaginare finalmente un ritorno non al passato, ma al futuro. Ritorna infatti il trasporto pubblico sui binari dentro la città, ma stavolta con la metropolitana leggera moderna e meno impattante dal punto di vista acustico.

Presentati stamane nel corso della conferenza stampa nell’aula consiliare del Comune di Cagliari dal Sindaco Massimo Zedda, dall’Assessore regionale ai Trasporti Massimo Deiana e dall’Assessore comunale Mauro Coni, i lavori della nuova tratta Repubblica- Matteotti che collegherà con la nuova metropolitana leggera piazza Matteotti a piazza Repubblica.
Una rivoluzione nel sistema dei trasporti urbani i cui lavori ancora in fase di ipotesi progettuale ma già a uno stadio avanzato oltre il livello preliminare, sono in fase di avvio. Al momento è ancora sottoposta ad una accurata analisi e valutazione l’area di pertinenza della corsia che ospiterà la prima tratta della rete metropolitana nel centro della via Roma. Tre le possibilità in cui potrebbe passare, come ha spiegato l’Assessore Coni: al posto delle corsie preferenziali dove un tempo passavano i treni; oppure dove al momento sostano parcheggiate le macchine; infine nelle aree dentro il porto. Intanto i lavori di preparazione del fondo stradale e dei sottoservizi in via Roma sono già in atto. Sette il numero delle stazione e delle fermate della rete metropolitana che viaggerà sul ferro: velocità massima prevista 50 km in ambito urbano e 70 km/h in ambito extraurbano. I veicoli bidirezionali e climatizzati potranno trasportare fino a 1714 passeggeri nelle ore di punta.

Le fermate porteranno il nome dei luoghi storici di Cagliari. Partendo dal capolinea: Repubblica; San Saturnino; Bonaria; Lussu; Darsena; Roma Municipio; Stazione;
Gli appalti per il primo tratto partiranno entro il 2015, tutto dovrebbe concludersi con il secondo tratto entro il 2017. Attualmente sono in corso i lavori nel tratto centrale di via Roma che è candidato a ospitare i binari, in prossimità di piazza Matteotti. I lavori saranno suddivisi in due tranche principali: la prima che interesserà il tratto da piazza Repubblica al piazzale del CIS con una tempistica centrata nel 2015, mentre il secondo tratto interesserà il collegamento dal piazzale del CIS verso piazza Matteotti, fino all’interno della Stazione Trenitalia (binario 2) prevista entro il 2018.

La stazione di piazza Repubblica sarà aperta per consentire l’uscita dei treni verso viale Cimitero, la cui riconfigurazione ripristinerà parzialmente lo scenario storico della città ai tempi del vecchio tram su rotaie.
I disagi riconducibili ai lavori e alla rivoluzione del traffico saranno concentrati in quattro siti principali: via Dante, viale Cimitero, CIS/viale Diaz e via Roma.

“Si tratta di un collegamento fondamentale perchè collega piazza Matteotti con il centro. Una importante rivoluzione nel sistema dei trasporti che va a completare i lavori di riqualificazione già in previsione di via Roma, oggi parcheggio. Un intervento che vedrà anche la sistemazione del lato portici verso il mare e che vuole restituire ai cittadini zone importanti della città, riportandola anche alla sua storica bellezza con i basoli di granito”, ha spiegato il Sindaco Zedda nella sua introduzione alla presentazione dei lavori, nel corso della conferenza stampa.

“Crediamo che il trasporto pubblico e locale sia molto importante. C’è ancora molto da fare in senso tecnico e culturale, ma i tempi sono maturi perchè tutti i soggetti coinvolti stanno capendo che la storia non si può fermare. La rete metropolitana leggera è un nuovo passo importante che porterà la città nel 21° secolo. L’idea è quella di arrivare a creare anche una forma stabile di biglietteria integrata valida per il riconoscimento di tutti i mezzi di trasporto”, ha aggiunto l’assessore regionale ai Trasporti, Massimo Deiana.Who remembers the old and charming tram crossing Via Roma can not imagine finally a return to the past but to the future. The contract for the first section will start by 2015, everything should end with the second stroke in 2017. Currently work is underway in the central Via Roma who is a candidate to host the tracks, near Piazza Matteotti. The work will be divided into two main tranches: the first will affect the stretch from Republic Square to the square of the CIS with a timing centered in 2015, while the second section will affect the connection from the forecourt of the CIS towards Piazza Matteotti, up inside the Station Trenitalia (track 2) expected by 2018.

The station of the Republic square will be open to allow any train to Avenue Cemetery, whose reconfiguration partially restore the historical backdrop of the city at the time of the old tram rails.
The inconveniences related to the work and to the revolution of traffic will be concentrated in four main sites: Via Dante Avenue Cemetery, CIS / Viale Diaz and Via Roma.
