NATIONAL LEAGUES UNDER 16 CUP SAILING AND PRIMAVELA – CAGLIARI – 1 TO 9 SEPTEMBER

In Cagliari Under 16 National Championships and the Copa Primavela: from 1 to 9 September 880 children and young sailors: the great festival of sailing-baby

At the start in Cagliari National Championships Under 16 and Primavela Cup 2012 organized by the Italian Naval League Section of Cagliari in the 110th anniversary of the foundation, as delegated by the Italian Sailing Federation. The maximum national sailing event, not only youth, will face from 1 to 9 September 880 athletes from all over the peninsula in the beautiful waters of Poetto, already successfully tested at a number of championships and trophies international value.

NATIONAL LEAGUES UNDER 16
In the first phase, from 1 to 4 September, 494 young sailors aged between 12 and 15 years old, will compete for the titles of classes Optimist, Techno 293 M / F, Laser 4.7 M / F, 420, 555FIV, l ‘ Team EV, RS Feva and Tyka. Compared to Venice in 2011, the edition of Cagliari presents the new class 420 which, starting this year, is allowed between classes that compete for the championship.

According to preiscrizionila appears to be the largest fleet of Optimist (130 sailors), followed by the Techno 293 sailboards (82) and 555FIV (80).

For all eligible classes Championships are scheduled 10 races total (with a maximum of 3 per day) except for the Laser 4.7 class men and women who run 8 (with a maximum of 2 per day), with 15 titles at stake: two for the Class Optimist
(Male and female), six for the Techno 293 (male and female Under-17, Under 15 m / f Under 13 m / f), two for the Laser 4.7 (male and female) and one each for classes 420, l ‘ Team EV, RS Feva, Tyka and 555FIV.

As was done in the previous two editions, Marsala and Venice, this year the logo Internet Explorer, Microsoft’s browser will appear on the sails of class 555 IVF, the drift of the federal sailing schools used for courses and regattas crew in 2010 made its debut at the Championships. The partnership between Microsoft and Italy IVF, created to promote the theme of safe navigation at sea and on the web, aims to raise awareness of young people and families on the issue of computer security.

The entire event logistics base is located on the Marina Piccola Marina, at the headquarters of LNI section. Cagliari (Via Marina Piccola s.n.). Surrounding areas will place the boats of the participants. The races will take place on the water in front of the beach Poetto where you will place the regatta. Five areas covered: Black Area for the 293, 555 area for FIV and Tyka Red, Blue Area for the team and RS Feva, Area Orange for the Optimist, Laser 4.7 and Green Area 420 (see attached diagram).

Imposing the organizers, to cope with the great commitment that an event of this size involves over 100 people for assistance on land and in the sea, a hundred carriages and as many buses, about 90 boats accredited, 5 areas of race, 36 Race Officials from the Race Committee, coordinated by the PRO (Principal Race Officer) Adolfo Villani, and the Committee of the protests, led by Fabio Donadono.

FA CUP Primavela NE VENTISETTE
At the end of the Under 16 National Championships, the festival of youth sailing continues with the 27th edition of the Cup in 2012 Primavela program always Cagliari from 6 to 8 September. In this case players will be another 400 young people aged 9 to 11 years, on board Optimist, Techno 293, L’Equipe U12, U12 and RS Feva Ego 333. The competition will also award the 10th President’s Cup and the 8th Cup Cadets.

Both events are organized by the Italian Naval League Sec. Cagliari, as delegated by the Italian Sailing Federation, in collaboration with the Windsurfing Club Cagliari and with the logistic support of Motomar Sarda. The races are also supported by the Department of Education, Culture, Information, Entertainment and Sports of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, the Municipality of Cagliari and the Chamber of Commerce of Cagliari.

CUP COMPETITION Primavela
During the event, students Veronica Grisendi of Dante Alighieri School of Medolla (MO) and Armando Giana school Varazze (SV) will be awarded as a result of the competition for the poster “Primavela Cup 2012″ organized by the Italian Sailing Federation in collaboration with the MIUR.
