Nell’ambito della manifestazione “Cagliari Monumenti Aperti 2013″, l’Associazione Sardegna AlternAttiva presenta:

Sentieri (in)interrotti
Le bombe del 26 febbraio le sentii dentro uno scantinato di via Sulis, a due passi dal Bastione. Quattro pali che ne rinforzavano il soffitto l’avevano fatto diventare un rifugio. Se ci fosse caduta sopra una bomba non starei qui a raccontarla, per me tutto si risolse in un gran frastuono: solo uscendo dal portone, quando la sirena ululò il cessato allarme, potei misurare la fortuna che m’aveva assistito. Mi ritrovai in un denso polverone e, svoltando da via Sulis nella piazza, vidi il Bastione decapitato.

Percorso Castello
Passeggiata guidata alla scoperta dei monumenti e della storia del quartiere Castello.

Sarà un momento di riflessione e ricordo di quei “terribili giorni” del 1943, che videro Cagliari triste protagonista dei bombardamenti alleati. All’interno del quartiere saranno individuati dei punti di sosta dove verranno raccontate le vicende e testimonianze con l’ausilio di brevi contributi audio-video che mostrano la città devastata dalla offensiva aerea anglo-americana. Laddove possibile, i partecipanti saranno guidati nell’individuazione delle parti ricostruite dei monumenti o di edifici non più esistenti nel quartiere. Ogni spiegazione sarà accompagnata da supporti tecnologici che ne permetteranno una completa fruizione dei contenuti: immagini di particolari architettonici, piante dei monumenti, foto di interni, immagini e filmati relativi alle testimonianze della città bombardata nel ’43 della durata di 1 minuto circa.

The bombs of February 26, I heard them in a basement via Sulis, near the Bastion. Four poles that reinforced the ceiling had made him a refuge. If there was a bomb fall over I would not be here to tell it, for me everything was resolved in an uproar: just out the front door, when the all-clear siren howled, I could measure the luck that m’aveva witnessed. I found myself in a dense cloud of dust and turning away from Sulis in the square, I saw the Bastion beheaded.

Castle Path
Guided walk to discover the monuments and history of the Castello district.

It will be a time of reflection and remembrance of those “terrible days” of 1943, which saw Cagliari sad protagonist of Allied bombing. Within the district will be identified at staging points where the story will be told and testimonies with the help of short contributions audio-video showing the city devastated by the Anglo-American air offensive. Where possible, participants will be guided in the identification of reconstructed parts of the monuments or buildings that no longer exist in the district. Any explanation will be accompanied by technological aids that will enable full use of content: images of architectural details, soles of monuments, interior photos, pictures and videos related to the testimony of the bombed city in ’43 for a period of about 1 minute.
