Artisti dall’Italia e dal resto del mondo in arrivo a Monserrato per il MOMOTI International Puppet Festival. Da giovedì 24 a domenica 27 ottobre il centro culturale MoMoTI, teatro della Compagnia Is Mascareddas (in via 31 marzo 1943), diventa punto di incontro per maestri burattinai, marionettisti e virtuosi dei linguaggi contemporanei del teatro d’animazione provenienti da cinque nazioni: Argentina, Germania, Grecia, Italia e Russia.

o       Il MOMOTI International Puppet Festival nel Progetto MOMOTI: un teatro, un burattino e la città

La manifestazione è una tappa fondamentale di MOMOTI: un teatro, un burattino e la città, progetto promosso dalla Compagnia Is Mascareddas, Arcoiris Onlus e Larus Onlus, con il sostegno della Fondazione CON IL SUD attraverso il Bando Storico, Artistico, Culturale 2011. Il festival si caratterizza come il momento centrale dell’attività di animazione socio-economica svolta dai tre partner a Monserrato: un percorso progettuale lungo diciannove mesi (da aprile dello scorso anno ad oggi), ideato per valorizzare il MoMoTI quale centro internazionale di teatro d’animazione e insieme sensibilizzare i cittadini a considerare la struttura di interesse storico-culturale (dichiarata nel 2009 “Bene identitario” dal Piano Particolareggiato del Centro Storico del comune a pochi passi da Cagliari) un bene dell’intera collettività.

o       Le compagnie ospiti

Il MOMOTI International Puppet Festival vede protagoniste nove compagnie. Tre le formazioni di marionettisti a filo: dall’Argentina arriva Horacio Peralta, di Bululu Théâtre, artista di fama mondiale attivo da oltre trent’anni; la maniera ellenica è, invece, rappresentata da Nikos Tompros ed Eleni Panagiotou, dell’Antamapantahou Marionette Theater; la gloriosa scuola russa è incarnata dall’arte di Viktor Antonov, di San Pietroburgo. Berlino è la città madre del Kranewit Theatre, compagnia formata dalle attrici e registe Kristina Feix e Ulrike Johannson, e dall’attrice e scenografa Mo Bunte, che affianca al teatro di narrazione l’uso di maschere, figure ed oggetti. L’Italia, col suo ricco assortimento di tradizioni regionali, è presente al MOMOTI International Puppet Festival con cinque gruppi teatrali. Tra questi, i decani sono i padroni di casa Is Mascareddas e Gigio Brunello, autore, attore e burattinaio trevigiano del Teatrino della Marignana: entrambi, nell’arco di una carriera ultratrentennale, hanno attraversato ogni stile e linguaggio drammaturgico dell’animazione, innovandone gli schemi tradizionali. Completano la cinquina di compagnie nostrane tre artisti: l’animatrice altoatesina Eva Sotriffer, la burattinaia napoletana Irene Vecchia e il burattinaio ravennate Massimiliano Venturi, tutti insigniti di importanti riconoscimenti nell’ambito del Progetto Cantiere, premio di produzione e sezione off del Festival Internazionale di teatro di figura Incanti, di casa a Torino.

o       Il programma

La quattro giorni si articola in un cartellone di sedici spettacoli. Tre le fasce orarie per la programmazione di piéce destinate ad un pubblico di tutte le età: alle 19.30 e alle 20 nella sala Yorick, alle 21 nella sala teatrale del MoMoTI. Ogni sera, inoltre, sempre con inizio alle 22 nella sala Yorick, arriva una “rassegna nella rassegna”, interamente dedicata agli adulti: L’Altro Volto del Teatro, sezione del festival sostenuta dal MiBAC – Direzione Generale Spettacolo dal Vivo e dalla Regione Autonoma della Sardegna – assessorato alla Pubblica Istruzione, Beni Culturali, Sport e Spettacolo, oltre che dalla Fondazione CON IL SUD. L’ingresso ad ogni spettacolo delle 20, delle 21 e delle 22 costa 3 euro. o       Giovedì 24

Sipario aperto, come detto, giovedì 24 ottobre. Il compito di dare il via al festival è affidato, alle 19.30, a Tonino Murru de Is Mascareddas, con “L’abigeato”. Lo sketch per teste di legno è tratto da “Anima e coru”, omaggio alla grande burattineria italiana ed insieme panoramica sul lavoro della compagnia di Monserrato. Alle 20, spazio alle guarattelle di Irene Vecchia, con lo spettacolo “Pulcinella”, una carrellata dei personaggi e dei caratteri propri del teatro popolare napoletano. Alle 21 il MoMoTI accoglie una delle sue “stelle”: il marionettista Viktor Antonov in scena con “Circus on the strings”, una sequenza di numeri circensi che diventa una divertente parata di clown, mangiatori di spade, scimmiette funambole ed altri originali personaggi. Alle 22 si inaugura la sezione per il pubblico adulto L’Altro Volto del Teatro con Eva Sotriffer. L’animatrice di Bolzano, con l’accompagnamento musicale di Max Castlunger, propone lo spettacolo di burattini “Dracula – il non morto sfida la morte” (primo premio del Progetto Cantiere – Incanti 2013, edizione incentrata sulla figura del vampiro principe delle tenebre).

o       Venerdì 25

L’indomani, venerdì 25 ottobre, Tonino Murru dà il via alla serata, alle 19.30, con “Don Pasquale”, un’altra sequenza tratta dallo spettacolo de Is Mascareddas “Anima e coru”. Cambio di scena, alle 20, per l’esordio al festival del Kranewit Theatre, con “Dwarfs’caps”, spettacolo di teatro di narrazione con oggetti interpretato da Kristina Feix e diretto da Ulrike Kley. La piéce narra la storia di un laborioso mugnaio e dei suoi tre figli, che vanno alla scoperta dell’antico mito degli gnomi. Nell’appuntamento successivo, alle 21, la natura nella Savana africana è incarnata dalle sculture di animali in legno, con meccanismi e suonerie, animate da Gigio Brunello, nello spettacolo “The big five” – a savana big animals show. Alle 22, per la rassegna L’Altro Volto del Teatro, torna in scena Irene Vecchia, con “Un caso cromosomico” (primo premio del Progetto Cantiere – Incanti 2012, dedicato all’opera dei fratelli Grimm, nel bicentenario della pubblicazione delle loro fiabe), piéce liberamente tratta dal racconto di Marcello Fois “Certe favole si capiscono troppo tardi”. Lo spettacolo di narrazione con burattini e statuine è realizzato con la collaborazione artistica di un grande autore, regista ed interprete del teatro d’oggetti quale l’ungherese Gyula Molnàr.

o       Sabato 26

La terza tappa del MOMOTI International Puppet Festival, sabato 26 ottobre, comincia alle 18, nella sala Yorick, con la tavola rotonda “Come risolvere la crisi”, incontro che intende essere un momento di riflessione tra gli artisti ospiti e insieme un’occasione per uno scambio di esperienze e buone pratiche nelle attività culturali. Come nelle precedenti giornate, l’apertura degli spettacoli in calendario è affidata, alle 19.30, a Tonino Murru. L’animatore de Is Mascareddas dà vita alle teste di legno de “Il toro”, performance estratta da “Anima e Coru”. Alle 20, esordio al festival per Massimiliano Venturi, con i burattini a guanto de “Le avventure di Półpuszka”. Il protagonista dello spettacolo è, appunto, Półpuszka, una testa di legno meticcia, nata dall’unione tra Pulcinella e Agatka, nota burattina protagonista dei caroselli in bianco e nero della televisione polacca. Alle 21 spazio a Nikos Tompros ed Eleni Panagiotou dell’Antamapantahou Marionette Theater. La compagnia greca presenta “The strings of music”, una serie di quadri musicali eseguiti da undici marionette di legno e cartapesta e da attori / marionettisti, che combinano mimo, teatro di figura e commedia dell’arte. La serata si chiude alle 22 con Gigio Brunello, in scena, per la rassegna L’altro Volto del Teatro, con le “Operette morali”. Lo spettacolo, diretto da Gyula Molnar, vede il burattinaio ed attore di Treviso impegnato in un monologo, intessuto di immagini, basato su una scelta di brani tratti dall’omonimo capolavoro di Giacomo Leopardi.

o       Domenica 27

Domenica 27 ottobre, il rush finale del festival prende il via alle 19.30 ancora con Tonino Murru. In programma “Il Tango”, quarto sketch per teste di legno tratto da “Anima e coru” de Is Mascareddas. Alle 20 tornano sul palco le artiste di Kranewit Theatre, con la piéce “Three strawberries in the snow”. Lo spettacolo di narrazione con figure animate, ideato e diretto da Mo Bunte ed interpretato da Kristina Feix, è una fiaba a lieto fine, che racconta la cattiveria umana, l’invidia e il potere delle forze occulte. Alle 21 arriva sul palcoscenico del MoMoTI Horacio Peralta, di Bululù Théâtre. Il marionettista argentino dà prova della sua abilità straordinaria nel cimentarsi in diverse tecniche di animazione con “El titiritero”. Una storia senza parole, una musica che seduce e le memorie di un burattinaio sono gli ingredienti principali di questo grande pezzo del suo repertorio. Le battute conclusive della manifestazione sono assegnate a Massimiliano Venturi, in scena alle 22, per la sezione L’Altro Volto del Teatro. Il burattinaio ravennate presenta “Certe favole…” (menzione speciale del progetto Cantiere, Incanti 2012). La performance – anch’essa, come “Un caso cromosomico” della già citata Irene Vecchia, liberamente ispirata al racconto di Marcello Fois “Certe favole si capiscono troppo tardi” – indaga sul tema della predestinazione e del Fato attraverso il teatro d’oggetti: non un semplice teatro delle forme animate, ma una messinscena dove l’oggetto/ figura interpreta un ruolo drammatico.

Artists from Italy and the rest of the world coming to Montserrat for the Momoti International Puppet Festival. From Thursday 24 to Sunday, October 27 Momoti the cultural center , theater of the Society Is Mascareddas ( being March 31, 1943 ) , becomes a meeting point for puppeteers , puppetry and virtuosos of contemporary theater of animation from five nations : Argentina , Germany, Greece, Italy and Russia.

The event is a major milestone of Momoti : a theater, a puppet and the city , a project promoted by the Company Is Mascareddas , Arcoiris Larus non-profit and non-profit organization , with the support of the Foundation through the Notice WITH THE SOUTH Historical, Artistic , Cultural 2011. The festival is characterized as the central moment of animation socio- economic activity carried out by the three partners in Montserrat : a design path along nineteen months (from April last year to date) , designed to enhance the Momoti as a center of international theater ‘ animation together and raise awareness to consider the structure of historical and cultural interest (declared in 2009, ” well identity ” from the detailed plan of the historic center of the town a short walk from Cagliari) good of the entire community.

The Momoti International Puppet Festival protagonists are nine companies . Three formations of puppeteers wire : Argentina comes Horacio Peralta , of Bululu Théâtre , world-renowned artist active for over thirty years , the Greek manner , however, is represented by Tompros Nikos and Eleni Panagiotou , dell’Antamapantahou Marionette Theater , the glorious Russian school is embodied by the art of Viktor Antonov , of St. Petersburg. The four day course consists of a program of sixteen shows. Three time slots for programming piéce aimed at an audience of all ages : 19:30 and 20 in the dining Yorick , to 21 in the auditorium of the Momoti . Every night , in addition, always beginning at 22 in the dining Yorick , comes a “review in the review” , entirely dedicated to adults : The Other Face of the Theatre Section of the festival supported by the Ministry of Culture – Directorate General Entertainment Live and the Autonomous Region Sardinia – Department of Education, Culture, Sports and Entertainment, as well as by the Foundation wITH THE SOUTH . Opened curtain , as mentioned, Thursday, Oct. 24 . The task of kick off the festival is entrusted to 19.30 , Tonino de Murru Is Mascareddas , with ” The cattle rustling .” The sketch for heads of wood is taken from ” Soul and coru ” , a tribute to the great Italian burattineria and together over the company’s work of Montserrat . The third stage of the Momoti International Puppet Festival, Saturday, October 26 , starts at 18 , in the dining Yorick , with the panel discussion ” How to solve the crisis,” meeting that will be a time of reflection among the guest artists and with an opportunity to an exchange of experiences and best practices in cultural activities . As in previous days , the opening of the shows on the calendar is assigned , at 19.30 , Tonino Murru . The animator of Is Mascareddas gives life to the wooden heads of “The bull” performance taken from ” Soul and Coru .” At 20 , debut at the festival for Massimiliano Venturi, with glove puppets of ” The Adventures of Półpuszka .” The protagonist of the show is , in fact, Półpuszka , a wooden head hybrid , born from the union between Pulcinella and Agatka , known puppet protagonist of the carousels in black and white of the Polish television . At 21 Tompros space to Nikos and Eleni Panagiotou dell’Antamapantahou Marionette Theater . The Greek company presents “The strings of music ,” a series of paintings music performed by eleven of wood and papier-mâché puppets and actors / puppeteers , combining mime , puppetry and comedy . Sunday, October 27 , the final rush of the festival kicks off at 19.30 with Tonino Murru yet . On the program ” The Tango “, the fourth sketch for blockheads from ” Soul and coru ” de Is Mascareddas . At 20 of the artists back on stage Kranewit Theatre, with piéce ” Three strawberries in the snow .” The spectacle of narration with animated figures , conceived and directed by and starring Kristina Mo Bunte Feix , is a fairy tale with a happy ending , which tells the human malice , envy, and the power of the occult forces . At 21 arrives on the stage of Momoti Horacio Peralta , of Bululù Théâtre . The Argentine puppeteer demonstrates his extraordinary skill in the try out different animation techniques with ” El titiritero .” A story without words , music that seduces and memories of a puppeteer are the main ingredients of this great piece of his repertoire. The closing bars of the event are assigned to Massimiliano Venturi , on stage at 22, for the section The Other Face of the theater. The puppeteer Ravenna presents ” Some fairy tales … ” ( special mention of the project Shipyard , Incantations 2012). The performance – too, like “A Case chromosome ” of the aforementioned Old Irene , loosely based on the story of Marcello Fois “Some fairy tales you realize too late ” – explores the theme of predestination and fate through the theater of objects : not just a scene of animated forms , but a sham where the object / figure plays a dramatic role .
