ME,YOU AND US! – LAZZARETTO S.ELIA – CAGLIARI – 29 TO 30 NOVEMBER

Thursday 29th and Friday, November 30, 2012 Lazzaretto of St. Elias (Cagliari) will host “Me, you and us!” Educational project on the active participation of children in political life, conceived and organized by the Cooperative Tuttestorie.

Take responsibility for their choices and actions means to take charge and take care of others, the environment, peace, human values. Culture of responsibility is a way to give meaning to society and the state as a guarantor of the mutual promises that we take. High idea of politics, beyond the practical operation of the system, and beyond individual political views.

The two day event opens Nov. 29 (17.30) with the presentation of bibliographic guide “Yes, but. Books and games for questioning of rules, identity, respect and relationships “, conceived and designed by the Cooperative Library and Children and the Library Tuttestorie Salaborsa Bologna Children, with a foreword by former magistrate Gherardo Colombo. The guide was funded only by Salaborsa Library of Bologna, the City and the Province of Cagliari, the Centers Cultural Services UNLA Oristano and Macon. It is a new experience of networking on children’s literature between Sardinia and Bologna. Two large groups of librarians, libraie and operators have come together in recent months between Cagliari (Media in the Mediterranean) and Bologna, working in parallel on the same books to pick and choose, following and experimenting in the mutual comparison of their diversity, five thematic routes (” Warning “-” Here the control tower “-” A ditch is done with both sides “-” What an effort! “) that invite children to deal with important issues such as politics, responsibility and identity, keeping away from phrases thoughts and facts and stereotypes. Among the pages of this guide, as well as books with their abstracts, five games to experiment with the body (as well as the head and heart) some of the concepts explored in the readings, taken care of by the Conungioco, and many questions that can serve as a stimulus to open in class or in a group discussion and reflection. A useful and important tool for teachers and for all those who work on these issues with children of primary school.

The project continues on Friday the 30th (from 9.30 h to 12.30 h and from 15.00 to 18.00) with a day of training, funded by the Province of Cagliari, aimed at primary school teachers, librarians and operators for ‘using this guide.

The librarian Nicoletta Gramantieri examine the books of the guide “Yes, but,” with particular reference to the issues identified and the method of presentation and use of books with children in the classroom.

The ludotecaria Flaminia Brasini plans to address the playful experimentation of the guide to find out how you can, with a game, talk about complex issues and significant glances and launch new books.

Each group will consist of a maximum number of 30 participants.

The fee for the seminar (including the two laboratories) is € 20.00.
