METICCIO DAY – NUORO – SUNDAY OCTOBER 14
Will be held next Sunday, October 14th, at the hill fort of St. Onofrio, the event “Mestizo Day: an exhilarating encounter on all fours.”
The event is organized by the Club Veterinary Sardo, led by regional manager Peter Fois and Fortino, in collaboration with the Environmental Department of the town of Nuoro Nuoro and ASL.
The main objective of the event is to raise awareness of the phenomenon of stray dogs. For this purpose, by the veterinarian ASL of Nuoro, the animals will be recorded and registered at canine, through the subcutaneous introduction of a microchip, a tiny capsule of a few millimeters in length and in diameter, made of a material that does not cause any form of rejection or discomfort for the dog.
Subscriptions to The dog will allow the immediate identification of the owner of a lost animal and serves as a deterrent to drop out, because the dog door within them the name of the owner in case of abandonment or neglect would face heavy sanctions.
In addition, the City Council and the World Dog kennel, having the custody of the dogs of the town of Nuoro, propose the adoption campaign “Adopt”.

The event is open to all dogs and mongrels of race registration will begin at 9:00 am, has to offer and all proceeds will be donated to the campaign of sterilization of stray dogs.
During the event, a jury of 10 children, seven award categories of dogs: the highest, the most hairy, the lowest, the smallest, the oldest, the most fun and the biggest.
