La Stagione concertistica 2014 del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari prosegue, venerdì 28 febbraio alle 20.30 (turno A) e sabato 1° marzo alle 19 (turno B), con il quinto appuntamento: Mario Brunello, celebre violoncellista al suo debutto a Cagliari, impegnato, in quest’occasione, nella duplice veste di solista e direttore dell’Orchestra del Teatro Lirico.
Il programma musicale prevede l’esecuzione, nella prima parte della serata, del Preludio da I masnadieri di Giuseppe Verdi (Roncole di Busseto, Parma, 1813 – Milano, 1901) e del Concerto in la minore per violoncello e orchestra op. 129 di Robert Schumann (Zwickau, Sassonia, 1810 – Endenich, Bonn, 1856), mentre, nella seconda parte, della Prima Sinfonia in Si bemolle maggiore “Frühlingssymphonie” op. 38 di Robert Schumann.
Dopo il Preludio dai verdiani Masnadieri, la serata prosegue con il Concerto per violoncello e orchestra di Robert Schumann, composto a Düsseldorf nell’ottobre 1850, un capolavoro assoluto dell’Iperromanticismo, di cui Schumann è l’esponente più emblematico, e la festosa e pensosa allo stesso tempo Prima Sinfonia “La Primavera”, eseguita per la prima volta, con la direzione di Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, a Lipsia il 31 marzo 1841.
La Stagione concertistica 2014 si avvale del contributo della Fondazione Banco di Sardegna.

The Lyric Theatre Ticket Office is open Monday to Friday from 10 to 13 and from 17 to 20, on Saturday from 10 to 13 . It is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
